It’s early in the morning and I am still to go to sleep. Before I do I thought I should write in my Diary as I have some things to say and publish in these here pages.
Acquiring Copyright To Use Studio Songs
Let me start by talking of the rest of my day. On the phone for a couple of conversations I tried to get copyright for the song from the CD “Ol Skool” and from what I know have accomplished it. They should be sending me a letter through the mail if everything is alright. That is a step towards the right direction.
For the rest of the day I was mucking around on the computer, fine tuning my artwork. I have plans to save it onto disk now and take it somewhere to get a draft copy done. What I’m also thinking is to do the CD burning myself instead of taking it to a studio. Why I say this is because to take it to a studio would mean they would ask questions about copyright, which I don’t have answers for.
I tried getting copyright ability from the two songs from the new “Boyz II Men” Album but was unsuccessful. Because of that I can’t record my songs where I want them. In this case I might not be getting the best quality sound out of my own productions.
Phone Talk With Lyssa
Later in the day Lyssa called me from her house. We didn’t really have much to say on the phone to each other now that we are living away again. We talked for a little. Then Lyssa called back later on in the night so we could talk again.
I lay down on my bed to concentrate on our conversation since it has been a while we have talked to each other over the phone. We agreed to meet today when I wake up. I will meet her after work. Lyssa ended up going to sleep at 8:30pm, an early night for her.
Wacky Wednesday With Jewell
After some time in the night I thought it was time to give Jewell a call, since it has been a while. It didn’t occur to me that it has been almost two weeks (well now it has). So there Jewell and I were talking on the phone. She wasn’t abrupt to me on this conversation.
We called our conversation Wacky Wednesday because Jewell and I were being wacky on the phone.
We were just both in a jumpy mood, as Jewell told me she was just back from dancing.
Learning About Our Past
It took over an hour for Jewell and I both to settle down. Then a theoretical question led us to talk about our past relationship and about ‘us’. I learnt plenty from the conversation we both had tonight.
I learnt that since the day we had broken apart Jewell hasn’t but even looked in a man’s direction twice. I never knew that she was totally staying away from the opposite sex. The reason she was doing this was that for one, she was comparing everyone to me, and they just didn’t compare. The second reason Jewell didn’t hook up in more than a year was because she couldn’t go out with someone knowing that she would be breaking up with him in the future.
Jewell once again showed sympathy for Lyssa tonight, as she couldn’t understand how Lyssa doesn’t get upset every time I call Jewell. At the start of the relationship with Lyssa it was based on attraction. I liked her and she liked me, and we didn’t know how long we would be together. As time went by and things changed, both our point of views had changed. Now Lyssa and I both know we are not going to be together forever. I don’t believe that has if anything at all to do with Jewell but it must have some degree of attachment.
Jewell and I had a very fulfilling conversation on the phone that lasted until midnight, which is the time she had to get off. We must have spent around three hours on the phone. That’s how it used to be and still is these days. There was a time back then when our feelings weren’t as strong for each other. It was always apparent to me that something had been lost when Jewell disappeared from my life and it never has fully come back to me. I know that if I give it some time, things will come back to normal.
The Second Dedications Project Nears Completion
The CD is coming along great I say. The artwork I must admit is magnificent to my standards, I love it. The song preparations are going great with only two more songs to choose. My song is in preparation waiting for me to finish the instrumental. I have two session singers waiting for me to command them into place. Everything that is in my head is placed onto paper or in my music, no stone is left unturned.
I say, if it can be done then do it. If it can’t be done, then find a way.
Right now I’m listening to the songs from the CD. I can’t wait until this project finishes and comes to a halt. In some way I will be sad because there will be nothing left for me to do every day, but by the time I am finished with the CD I will be with the person that the CD was meant for and my life once again will be level.
