New South Wales recorded 11,807 COVID cases today and 27 deaths. Seeming I no longer watch legacy news however, I have no idea what our Australian leaders have preached until I do an online search.
The Tense Brush With Chemist Warehouse Security
Tonight I quickly drove to the Chemist Warehouse inside Market Fair Campbelltown. Walking without a face mask to the shop entrance, I noticed a lone male security guard wearing a face mask standing meters from the mandatory QR code check-in bollard.
I thought to myself, “Here we go. This guy is going to give me trouble.”
Such is the psychological impact of vaccine mandates, that even three months since New South Wales politicians ended the segregation between double vaccinated and unvaccinated citizens, I still remain paranoid that as soon as I near this security guard, he is going to ask me, “Where’s your face mask? Can you sign in?”
Instead, as I neared the entrance, ready to shave his flank in my reckless drift into Chemist Warehouse, I momentarily looked up at him, and waved my hand hello from low underneath my waist. That low hand wave seems to be the universal “leave me alone, thanks bud” signal.
To my surprise, the Chemist Warehouse security guard nodded to me. With that, I continued to walk in. I figured the security guard is not going to bother me today.
Once inside Chemist Warehouse, once again, I was the lone face mask free Australian doing my shopping. I did feel somewhat strange being the only warm-blooded the unvaccinated pureblood male with balls walking around Australia.
I bought a 48-hour coconut detox juice to add to my shelf of bodybuilding products.
I did hear one or two coughs inside Chemist Warehouse, but it sounded like it came from the younger ones.
As I lined up behind three people in the queue, I saw everyone in the queue had their face mask on. They had traded their common sense and freedom for whatever health message the legacy media reported that the government had said.
Disapproval From The Vaccinated Cashier
The issue that bothered me was when I approached the cashier.
“Next please,” said a young girl behind the middle cashier.
I walked up to her, smiling, pureblood, and unvaccinated. As soon as she saw that I didn’t have a face mask on, her head went down, and she didn’t talk.
After a few moments of this silent scanning, she shook her head left and right, as if to say, “What the hell are you doing not wearing a face mask? Everyone’s supposed to wear face mask. But I’m not going to ask you to wear a face mask because I don’t want to have a fight with you in front of everybody.”
I got that vibe from her.
As usual, I thought to myself, “I’m a healthy and fit individual. Face masks and vaccine mandates are to protect the vulnerable, the immunocompromised, the obese people that don’t take care of their health. If you’re a healthy person and you get COVID, you stand a better chance of beating COVID. Good health helps. I haven’t contracted COVID since I lived in China when the coronavirus pandemic began in January 2020, so keep your government-endorsed face mask, and take my money, thank you.”
The cold treatment and sense of discrimination I felt from the Chemist Warehouse cashier annoyed me. Look, I get it. There are sheep in Australia who want to obey Scott Morrison and whatever Dominic Perrottet in New South Wales tells them to do. But not everyone is a sheep willing to listen to a parrot.
I paid $24 dollars for that item and walked out of Chemist Warehouse. I did feel uncomfortable in there. I just wanted to get out and get it over and done with. So once again, Chemist Warehouse gets a bad review from this pureblood.
From Chemist Warehouse I walked across the Market Fair hallway into Woolworths supermarket at the other end. I felt much more comfortable in Woolworths. I could relax and slowly walk around, knowing that no one’s going to give this the unvaccinated pureblood bad looks.
