Omicron, Rapid Antigen Test, COVID-19,

Being Vaccine Free And Surrounded By People Sick With COVID-19

Today, New South Wales recorded 12,226 COVID-19 cases and one death with COVID.  I entered the local  pharmacy, mask-free, with an empty bottle of medication in hand.

I observed half a dozen people lined up at the counter, all wearing a face mask.  I came to the scripts counter, which was socially distanced to the side of the main service counter.

Interrupted by that nice, short, fair-skinned blonde pharmacist, she approached the counter to ask, “Has anyone served you?”

I replied, “Oh no.  I’d like to get a new bottle of medication.  I have an old empty bottle here.”

I handed the empty medication bottle to her.

The pharmacist asked, “We will prepare this for you now.  Do you need anything else?”

I casually remarked, “I could probably buy a face mask.  I ran out of them in my car.”

“There are some face masks down there,”  the pharmacist pointed to the display shelves behind me.

The Pure Blood Unvaccinated Alpha Male

Turning my head towards the display shelves, I noticed a tall, reptilian-skinned pretty Australian female in a black cotton slip dress standing at the front of the line.  She had a tattoo on her scaly, thirty-something skin.

When I looked over, I noticed a wary look in her eyes, as if to say, “What’s wrong with this guy walking around without a face mask?!”

Despite how keen I sounded to buy a face mask, she blatantly tried to keep some distance from me.

She didn’t look like one of those silly people afraid to catch COVID from maverick mask non-wearers like me.  Conversely, she looked like a switched on woman that probably would be attracted to a manly guy that has not succumbed to government pressure and fascist propaganda to be double vaccinated, turned on by the pure blood unvaccinated bad boy that can make his own decisions, an alpha male that does not wet the bed crying about Omicron.

Rapid Antigen Tests Flying Off Shelves

When I walked behind her to wait for my script to be prepared, I witnessed a few people come in to inquire about COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Tests.

One person being served by the pharmacist asked, “Can I get three rapid antigen tests please?”

The pharmacist fetched three COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Tests 3 for that masked-up customer.

Soon, a male laborer wearing an orange hi-vis vest approached the counter.

He asked, “Can I have five rapid antigen tests, thank you?”

When he found out the pharmacy had more rapid antigen tests on the shelf, with trepidation in his voice, he changed his mind, “Can you make that six rapid antigen tests.”

He took up every rapid antigen test kit that was available.  There were no more rapid antigen test kits left on the shelves behind the pharmacy counter.

I thought, “Fuck!  What’s going on here?”

Seeing the same phenomenon happen twice in a row, it made me ask questions regarding their health and COVID-19.  The first customer who ordered three rapid antigen tests was obviously sick. This laborer either must be sick too, or someone in his family is sick.

Unnerved, I thought, “I’ve come into the pharmacy, a healthy, unvaccinated male surrounded by sick people that probably have Delta or Omicron.”

Taking Precautions Around People Sick With COVID-19

I got worried.  These two people definitely fit the profile of people who could be potentially sick with COVID-19.

I came to sit down on a seat away from all the people.  I put my hand over my mouth and nose thinking, “I need to protect myself somehow.”

I thought, “Being in the vicinity of sick people who may have COVID is quite dangerous. I probably shouldn’t have come into the pharmacy. There are too many sick people announcing themselves in the pharmacy.”

The pharmacist asked the male laborer to stand to the side while she served other customers in the meantime.

The fear in his eyes was palpable, afraid that other people were sick or spooked that he would pass his COVID-19 infection onto other people.

When the pharmacist called me up next, I had to navigate my way around the edgy and suspicious laborer.  He nervously looked at me and ushered me forward.

I’m thinking, “But if you’re sick with COVID, dude, I don’t want to go in front of you.  You shouldn’t be in here.”

As the pharmacist packaged my medication, I joked, “It looks like you are the only pharmacy in New South Wales that still has rapid antigen tests.”

“Yeah, it’s funny that,”  she responded in a carefree, casual voice, as if the hoarding of rapid antigen tests was no big deal.

Probing The Rapid Antigen Test Kit Hoarder

Then I turned to the guy next to me.  He’s got this panicked smile on his face, as if to say, “I’m fucking sick!  I’m pretty sure I’m going to die of COVID! I’m going to stock up on rapid antigen tests because I’m fucking paranoid!”

I looked at him and smiled, alluding to the rapid antigen tests, “It looks like you got lucky.”

He confessed, “Yeah.  There are two people in my house that are sick.”

As he freely shared more information, he gave insight into how there are at least two people sick with COVID in his family. He didn’t say that he was sick with COVID.

I told him, “Yeah.  My friend’s cousin also came down with COVID.”

I spoke in a very casual way, conscious that I don’t have a face mask on around all these people that have just been infected with COVID.  I felt somewhat vulnerable.

I purchased the medication and one face mask.

As I walked towards the pharmacy entrance doors, I mentioned to the male laborer, “Good luck.”

He looked back at me and snorted in disbelief, “Yep.  Thank you!”

It’s almost as if he was having a surreal, out-of-body experience today.  He must have been freaking out about his own situation.

Do The Vaccinated Cause Shedding

When I left the pharmacy, I felt somewhat paranoid with a strange dry sensation in the upper back of my throat.

I thought, “Fuck.  My throat feels a bit different ten seconds after standing near this guy.  Did I just get infected by COVID?  Were those vaccinated people shedding?”

I am still in a hold pattern because my friend’s cousin caught COVID on Christmas.  He visited their family for Christmas while his cousin was positive with COVID but had not been tested yet, and then visited me a day later for a few hours on Boxing Day.

I will be paranoid now for the next few days thinking COVID-19 could have passed to me on Boxing Day.  Now I’ve just gone down to the pharmacy, and two customers there might have infected me with COVID.  It’s getting to be quite a hairy situation with COVID-19 infections rates in New South Wales.
