Covid-19 Safe Habits Die Hard

Hearing the front door to our house creak open and closed at 9:30am, I belatedly rushed to the porch.  Looking down the sleepy road, mom seemed to have already disappeared for a stroll.

I drove the car towards the local shops, seeing mom on the steep road headed down.

“Hey, mom.  Jump in the car.  I’ll take you,” I called through the passenger window.

On the short drive, we chatted about some issues related to covid-19, vaccine passports, and the waning lockdowns in New South Wales.

The Outcome Of Covid-19 Vaccine Mandate Freedom Rallies

“I’m going to get a coffee,” I mentioned.  “By the way.  Yesterday I went to the protests against the vaccine passports in Sydney.”

She chimed, “Oh, did you? That’s why you came back so late!  What happened at the protests?  What was the outcome?”

I remarked, “There were a lot of people and politicians there.  There must have been over one hundred thousand protesters at the Sydney rally alone.”

To be honest, when asked for an outcome, I could not think of one off the top of my head.  Protesters aired their concerns about the covid-19 vaccine mandates, they marched carrying Australian flags, and Eureka flags, as politicians and notable celebrities gave speeches.  It felt like an alternative Anzac Day.

However, the covid-19 vaccine mandate freedom protests seemed to be largely ignored by mainstream media and politicians.  The hundreds and thousands of people marching for the freedoms of all Australians were hidden in plain sight.

Wearing Face Masks Out Of Habit

Once I dropped my mom off, I cruised to McDonald’s to purchase a large cappuccino.

The McDonald’s staff inside the drive thru window all wore surgical face masks.

I didn’t wear a face mask today.  I rarely do.

Then I came to the local petrol station.

As I filled the petrol tank up, a young blonde girl parked her car in the bay opposite my gas pump.

The moment I saw her in an empty petrol station wearing her face mask out of habit, it made me think.

You have to feel sad for people that after two years of their lives, still continue to comply to government mandates. There has to come a point in time in your life where you’re not happy or not convinced about the effectiveness of covid-19 safe measures adopted during this ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

I attended an anti-vaccine mandate protest with between 100,000 to 150,000 people in Sydney yesterday.

I didn’t get sick.

I didn’t come down with coronavirus.

Conversely, I did see how strong the anti-mandate movement was.

There will be no report in mainstream news media that the worldwide freedom rallies were superspreader events.  Those “us versus them” stories written to induce division and fear have been long buried.

Living Life According To News Cycles

Most of the news and government mandates are all hogwash.  People don’t realize it because they blindly follow what the government says and the news tells them to do, instead of taking their face mask off, choosing not to use their vaccine passport, attending a freedom rally in person, so that they can witness the lies and deception that comes from the mainstream media.

There will come a day when the mainstream news will tell the Australian people to stop wearing face masks, or the government will cease to mandate face masks.

That’s when people will decide, “Well, yeah!  If the Australian government thinks I shouldn’t wear a face mask, then I won’t wear a face mask. It’s safe!”

With the petrol pump returned and the fuel cap fastened, I walked into the petrol station to pay the female attendant also with her face mask on.

I thought to myself, “You guys need to wake up and realize that you are being conned by the Australian government. You’re not in any serious risk. Yes, you can catch a cold, or a virus, but the likelihood that you will catch covid is insignificantly low.  You need to realize that and factor that into your own equation.”

“Grow a pair, do your own research, and make decisions based on yourself, not on what the government says. That’s a dictatorship.”
