Checking Out Of Wollongong Novotel – Mad Chaos: June 21, 1998

Wollongong Novotel Buffet Breakfast

Waking up the next morning (Sunday morning) by their alarm, I tried to look outside but it was pitch dark in the room.  Thanks to the curtains, it completely blocked out the light from outside.  Lyssa jumped up and had herself a shower.  I sobered up, stretched out and then jumped in the shower after Lyssa.

Turning some music on I had a shower using the Novotel’s own shampoo and conditioner, while Lyssa applied makeup.  When all was done and we were dressed we caught the elevator to the bottom floor for our buffet breakfast.  Walking through the hallway, we were there.

Breakfast was brilliant, and it was free.  With a long line to choose from out of the buffet, my favorite was poached eggs made small and perfectly round, bacon, mushrooms, lots of fruit, orange juice, croissants and many other fine foods.  Because it was breakfast and we were hungry, Lyssa and I went back at least five times each.  We were hungry.  There were some Macedonian’s in the Restaurant that Lyssa and I were listening to also.

Finishing up our breakfast, we felt full also having our drinks.  When all was done, Lyssa gave me some small containers of tomato sauce (in little packets) to put in my pockets.  Dull as it was, I put them in my pockets.  I’m such a thief aren’t I?

The Messenger From God, And His Dog

Walking back into our room now we lay back down to have a rest while watching television.  Lyssa sat out on the balcony for one last time and read her book.  Meanwhile, I viewed the television and had a quick sleep.  The concierge soon rang and asked us when we were leaving.  It was time.

One last ride in the elevator, we handed our key to reception.  Dragging behind the suitcase, we headed for North Wollongong train station.  Carrying the suitcase was a pain but as the last word, that is all I will complain about that matter (I guess you’re saying thank god).

Seated at the train station we waited half an hour.  We then caught a train half way and then an express train the remainder of the distance.  Lyssa and I enjoyed the scenery along the way.  Once at Central station we jumped onto a train headed for home.

Forgetting to mention a fact that’s not that vital but funny, there was an old man with his old dog walking the station talking to anyone that would listen, yeah, you know the ones.  Coming towards our way I knew he wouldn’t pass us because Lyssa was with me.  Crazy people that have no balls left in their head always like something blonde and pretty.  .

The crazy man stopped off at us and started telling me how he is a messenger of god at the age of 75.  Not saying more than a word or two with him, just nodding my head, all the people on the platform were laughing at him.  Taking a piece of paper with his name and address on it so he would leave us alone, he claimed it was a constables number and the constable would inform me that this man was indeed a messenger from god.  Good going you clown.

Jumping on the train, he jumped on too, but the other side.  All the way home we kept hearing him talk downstairs to some unsuspecting young guy, the whole trip to Central.  At one stage one of the staff had a go at him and told him he would cop it at Central Station.  When we arrived at Central Station there were two police ladies waiting to pick him up.

Spend Time At Lyssa’s House

Back at Leumeah, we only had enough fare for one person so I gave Lyssa the suitcases when the bus came so she could jump on.  When the bus left I started walking for Lyssa’s house, the first time I had done this.  Finding my way to Lyssa’s house I crept into the house.  I thought to frighten her but I voted against that because I would scare her too much.  Instead, I just sat in silence behind her for about ten minutes until she turned around.  She was taken back but, not as badly as it could have been if I had scared her.

To cut a long story short (or a short story short because I write too much anyway), I had dinner at Lyssa’s house with her mum and her.  Then after spending some time with Lyssa in her room, I was given a lift home by her mum.

Penelope’s mum busted Ali and Penelope when Lyssa called to look for her.  Supposedly we were supposed to be on a picnic with Penelope and Ali.  Penelope’s mum was upset when she found out the truth.

Anyway, it’s 3:07am.  I’ve been here for around three or more hours (taking out the time I had something to eat and I just brushed my teeth).  It’s time to go to sleep and write in more detail about the rest of my night tomorrow.  I’m real sleepy.
