Lance’s portal idea
Shown the new space section, Lance immediately proposed a way to connect it back to the rest of the game: a portal that lets you jump between “Floor Is Lava 1” and “Floor Is Lava 2,” so a sequel wouldn’t strand your old game’s content; you could always portal back and keep playing it.
The corrupt-data bug
An hour of chasing what looked like a code bug turned out to be nothing of the sort. Every time a new Play Store version installed, the app was crashing: and after painstakingly checking the new build against an older one line by line, the actual cause was corrupted app data sitting on the phone itself, unrelated to the code. Clearing it fixed everything, and the space level finally became visible and testable.
A tour of the solar system, and version 209
Testing the space mode properly for the first time: cockpit view, light-speed travel past Saturn, a slowdown to a side view passing Uranus, then back to light speed. Genuinely impressed by what Claude produced from the brief.
In a reflective moment, pulled up the very first version of the game for comparison: just platforms and a little guy who could only jump straight up, exiting the screen within three or four jumps. The game is now up to version 209.
Lemon Squeezy: desktop monetization begins
Started setting up Lemon Squeezy for desktop sales: account created, identification submitted, and eight separate products defined (name, description, values, and settings for each), plus design prompts for product mockup images. A tracker document now records exactly which step of desktop monetization is complete.
