Get Floor Is Lava on Google Play
Building the first APK
Up to now the game only existed as a PWA played straight from a website. Today it became an installable app: a signed APK, built with app icons, uploaded to the phone and installed. “The new section works perfectly with no bugs,” and it played well overall.
Designing multiplayer, and a ghost race
Versus mode currently only offers free CPU opponents. The plan taking shape: a shared-room versus mode where a friend joins, both players hit start, and you race together; with toggles for which modes to include (parachute, climber, cavern) and how many platforms to climb. A friends system with pending requests and an online-status indicator would sit alongside it.
Claude suggested something simpler and genuinely clever for a first pass: a ghost race. Rather than live multiplayer, a friend’s completed run; every platform, every position, exact timing; gets recorded and replayed as a ghost you race against on the same level layout. Built and tested it today: play a level on one phone, then chase the recorded ghost on another.
Friends tab shipped
By tonight the friends feature was functionally complete: send a request, it goes pending, the other person accepts, and once they’ve raced in Climber mode a ghost-race icon appears next to their name.
