Get Floor Is Lava on Google Play
The lava ship level: story mode’s finale
Waiting at the doctor’s with Lance, a new idea clicked into place. Lance still loves the rocket ship, so rather than a plain victory screen at the end of Story Mode, the plan became: every relic pulled from a volcano helps build a lava ship, and clearing the final mountain launches you in it; flying to another planet as an unlockable, replayable bonus level, more flight sequence than platformer.
Me: “Do you want me to put it in or not put it in?”
Lance: “Put it in.”
Me: “I’ll put it in.”
First steps into Google Play Console
A genuinely difficult night: adding the Cordova Commerce plugin for in-app payments, building a signed AAB in Android Studio, uploading it to Play Console, configuring it for internal testing, and adding an email as a tester; Play Console requires a minimum of twelve testers before wider release, which is its own problem to solve later. The first uploaded build crashed on open; fixing it meant feeding the error back through Claude and rebuilding.
“I would have given up at some of the first few steps… Android Studio has millions of options and folders, and you’d need to go to university to learn how to develop an app.”
Shop cleanup for the premium tier
Tightened up the purchase flow (My Coins now updates instantly, the shop screen closes properly) and defined what premium actually removes: watching ads to move piggy-bank coins becomes unnecessary, because premium players skip the piggy bank system entirely; coins stay in your balance even when you die. The only ad left standing is an optional revive-via-ad on death, and even that’s capped: premium players get three free revives a day instead.
🎮 Game Rules Log: June 2, 2026
- Premium players skip the piggy bank entirely: coins are never at risk on death
- Premium removes the watch-ad requirement across the board
- Revive-via-ad capped at 3 free uses per day for premium players
- New Story Mode finale planned: build a lava ship from collected relics, then fly it as a bonus level
Focus: Google Play Console setup, in-app payments groundwork, premium-tier shop logic.
