Shopping In Sydney With Lyssa – Mad Chaos: June 24, 1998

Another fun day for me, there just haven’t been much boring ones have there.  Full of little surprises is what today was.  Let me tell you, there were plenty of them.

Parents Go Grocery Shopping

Kicking the day off at 11am, Lyssa gave me a call to see if I was still meeting her in the City.  Looking outside, I noticed it was raining.  But feeling the indirect pressure, I acknowledged my visit to the City.  Thinking I would meet Lyssa in the train station so I wouldn’t have to buy a ticket, a little surprise, Lyssa was shopping and she really, really, really needed my help.  Anyway, supporting Lyssa’s wishes I went back to sleep for an hour.

Waking up at noon, I felt revived.  Handing myself a towel, I jumped into the shower.  Hot water felt nice on my shaking body.  Out of the shower I heard my parents driving into the garage and figured they must have been shopping.

Walking upstairs to view the shopping for the fortnight, relief adorned my face and pride for my mum that bought me all these little tidbits.  Once again, a little surprise as she bought me my Cornflakes, my milk, new muffins, mushrooms, jelly, chips, pizza and other little comforts for my oral stimulation.  Ecstatic, I strode back downstairs and prepared myself.

Saving Artwork Onto Floppy Disk

Back to my normal story, Lyssa called me at 1pm.

“I am worried that you won’t arrive to Sydney to meet me on time.  I hate waiting,” Lyssa worried.

“I have an extra hour to get ready.  I guarantee I will arrive early,” I with time on my hands I told Lyssa.

With that I leapt off the phone.

Wanting to print some pictures of Ali’s car with my spare money, I turned on the computer.  Having a deadline of half an hour I started work and copied some designs onto a floppy disk.

Thinking I would catch a bus, I decided to muck around with a picture and print it.  Well, my computer kept freezing.  Destined to finish the picture I kept at it while the time kept ticking.  The deadline was met.  With seconds on hand I quit my computer, turned everything off in a flash, grabbed my shoes and ran out the door.

Battling Gale Force Winds Into Town

Knowing I probably wouldn’t be able to make it to the bus stop at the front of Bradbury shops in time, I headed for one bus stop just before that and closer to home, a newly found one.  Seeing an old lady waiting at the bus stop I knew I had time, so walked the rest of the way.

Wearing my new jeans with a singlet and long sleeve shirt, I didn’t realize how cold it was even though the sun was out.  Being winter, last night there were some huge storms, as I would have probably noted.  On the news today I heard that the blizzards caused severe damage to houses.

The bus pulled up.  I was happy to be with warmth.  Jumping off at Campbelltown Mall I walked the rest of the windy way to the Library.  My thoughts were either to get a hair cut in the extra hour I had or use the computers at the library.  Guess what I did.

Using The Library Computers

Once again, out of the gale force winds (I like to sound American), I jumped onto a computer and attempt a fast turnaround.  A little surprise happened once all the pictures were on display.  When I tried to print them an error occurred and the first page would repeat itself endlessly.  Trying to seek help, the lady’s at the counter couldn’t help me.

“Maybe it’s the computer,” their best guess was.

Of course it’s the computer, imbeciles!

Once again I was on a deadline to catch my train and time was running out.  Thinking I should just leave, I didn’t want to leave wasting my initial money.  Finally, they called out what they thought was their “Computer Whiz”.  This dorky appearing man (which is a good sign for brains) came out.  To some degree he knew what he was talking about.  Still he fiddled around here and there.

The girls at Reception tried to give their two cents.  They just bothered me.  Now these ladies aren’t even good at their normal job being Reception.  While in line waiting to be served, one guy was filling out a form to be a member of the Library and the other was on the phone.  The lady with the guy could have easily served me since he didn’t really need assistance.  Once the lady was off the phone I was finally helped.  Come on ladies.  I can do better!

Meanwhile, noting that we should try canceling the print jobs, the guy turned off the computer and accessed the print manager.  Finding the error myself on my computer, we sorted out the problem and printing was back to normal.  The Receptionists were completely befuddled and I didn’t have to pay the full amount if I didn’t want to.  Completely oblivious as to how much I should pay, I just gave them the correct money.  Carrying all my print outs I headed for the station.

Cheating The Train Ticketing System

The time being 3:15pm I only had 15 minutes to make it to the train station and at least be on time.  Running to the station I started getting irritated with the fencing next to me that was used by the railway to keep you off the tracks.  The long green metal fencing with visible gaps between them was causing synchronized flashes with the sun nearing the horizon and below the tops of the fence.  This caused a flashing sequence.  Even with my eyes closed I couldn’t escape it.  Watching on television that this could cause paranoia and schizophrenia, my solution was to walk near the road where I wasn’t affected because the sun was now above the metal palings.

Catching a train to Leumeah, I hoped there was a ticket machine that was open.  If not, I was in real trouble at Central.  Having four minutes to spare until my normal train arrived, my hunch was right.  I bought a ticket at Leumeah.  Soon after, my train arrived and I was on my way to the City.

There were some St. Patrick’s girls on the train and some guys from another school with them.  There was this one girl I always notice and is fairly pretty.  I think one day I mistook her for Lyssa, the day at Woodbine Macdonald’s when Ali, Imad and I were about to jump out of our cars.  This pretty girl jumped off at Glenfield to catch another train.  People travel a distance just to get to school.

As poor luck would have it, another little surprise.  At Kingsgrove, I knew I would just make it with a couple of seconds to spare if we headed our normal routine, but that was not to be.  We stopped at stations we never stop at including Tempe.  That made me ten minutes late.

Being Late Makes Lyssa Furious

Jumping off the train I barreled my way up the stairs and proceeded down the long hallway to greet Lyssa.  Knowing Lyssa would be angry, I thought for a second as I glanced up to her work she wouldn’t be there, but a couple of steps from the doors I was proven wrong.  There she was, clutching her DX in hand, an enraged face.  Nevertheless, the task on hand was more important as she shouldered her way through the crowd.

Behind us was Devon who I noticed first.

“Hi Devon,” I said to him.

“We’re in a real big hurry,” Lyssa stopped to say.

Lyssa isn’t that fond of Devon and told me he’s so bored and exiled he rings Lyssa so they could have lunch.  Lyssa thinks he’s pitiful.  Seeing a good opportunity, Lyssa handed the DX to Devon.  No one wants the chore of delivering this mail but he felt obligated.  With a gritting smile, he walked the DX away from us.

Our adventure was to take money out of the bank.

Once that was accomplished Lyssa headed into Dotti to take a jacket out of lay-by.  In that time I headed to Sanity to obtain the new edition of the ‘Drum Media’ and then met back up with Lyssa.

Getting darker and colder, Lyssa and I walked our way to Wynyard station where Lyssa wanted to check out a clothing store.  Not finding it hard to get there, Lyssa checked out her store while I waited out the front after checking out some items.

The Sexy Crowd Of Sydney Workers

Leaning against a column adjoining the roof, I was on-looking all the commuters heading through the ticket machines to catch their trains.  My opinion, there were a lot of skirts, a lot of blonde hair, a lot of pretty faces and a lot of surprises.

There was this lady who had very long attractive legs.  She showed her legs off by wearing a very short cream skirt along with high boots and a jacket.  There was another young lady who looked golden with her golden yellow hair and yellow creamed silk dress.

Everyone was clattering past in their hoof like heels.  Rush hour was at its peak.

Lyssa Shares Workplace Gossip

When Lyssa was finished perusing, we headed for McDonald’s where she bought us both a burger.  Seated, Lyssa told me about her day and how there was a new traineeship filled at her work by a 20-year-old.  The other blonde (I think who is Liah), is being promoted after her two weeks left of her traineeship.  She is being promoted to a Secretary, the reason being the normal Secretary is pregnant, on leave for six months.

Lyssa also told me how she has a new friend at College who has blonde hair like Lyssa’s, skinny, attractive, long legs and has a weird blend of yellow and green in her eyes.  Jokingly, I told Lyssa I have to meet her friends from College one day.  Hey, that might come true.

Being Playful On The Train Home

When we finished eating we headed back to the clothes shop we were just at.  Perusing once more, Lyssa bought herself a top.  Then we were on our way.  The platform was crowded but the train we were jumping onto wasn’t.  Finding seats fairly easy I presented my printouts to Lyssa.  Not really amazed with my accomplishments, she told me she was feeling sick. I put my arm around her and lay her head on my shoulder.  Lyssa appreciated that.  Feeling dizzy, she lay her head on my lap, spreading across the seat to lay down.

As Lyssa lay on me I kept tickling her head with my fingers, she done the same back to me.  That turned into a little game, as we both kept tickling each other oblivious to our surroundings.  Lyssa started smiling.  Then we mucked around some more.  Lyssa jumped up not feeling woozy anymore, as I hugged her and continued to be mischievous.

Arriving at Leumeah, we both jumped off.  I walked Lyssa to her bus stop.  The bus was coming in ten minutes.  If I hurried I would catch mine in Campbelltown.  Freezing my ass off, Lyssa put her jacket on and hugged me.  Rubbing each other’s back, preoccupied jumping up and down for warmth, we must have looked like fools, but hey… it was keeping us warm.

Lyssa’s bus arrived.  Freezing, I gave her a couple of kisses.  Then waving her goodbye, I headed for the platform.

Dad Picks Me Up From Train Station

Picking up the phone I meant to call my dad but somehow called Ali’s phone.  Making a stupid mistake as it was the last of my small change, I spoke to Ali for a minute or so.  Telling him my bad fortunes I headed for the corner shop.  Buying some chewing gum I headed back for the payphone, but there were some overblown girls talking away.  Thinking I wouldn’t get a chance even though my train was taking an eternity, the girls finally stopped their prancing on the phone.  As the train was coming I quickly told my dad to pick me up.

Boarding the train, I found it warm for the few minutes I was on it.  Then heading back out into the discomfort, I waited knowing it would be a while since my dad showed up.  Taking 15 minutes, I sat on a bench freezing.  Then finally I walked upstairs and jumped in the car.

Expressing that I was practically frozen stiff, we headed home.  Thanking dad for the lift, I headed for my room and straight for my heating hair dryer.

Phone Chat With Lyssa

Preparing some food, I gave Lyssa a call.  We talked for a couple of minutes before I had to eat my share of food.  Turning on my computer and television I enjoyed some entertainment.

Half an hour later I called Lyssa back up.  We were still playful over the phone.  Nevertheless, Lyssa and I only talked for twenty minutes.  I acknowledged I would be having a late night tonight, probably watching soccer until early morning.

Lyssa and I kept saying goodnight to each other.  But being too playful we took our time hanging up the phone.  Finally it was done.

Then, I grabbed myself some more to eat.

Play Deadlock Planetary Conquest On PC

Now, I’ve unzipped another game onto my computer, the return of “Deadlock – Planetary Conquest”.  Knowing this was a pretty good strategic game, I’m going to give it another go tonight.

Right now, apart from typing here, I’m watching Tennis.  The season of winter sport is coming soon.

Time to go now.  The day has been said.  Thoughts haven’t been expressed in this issue of my Diary but be warned, and behold the latter days of the scriptures of my life.
