Introduced To The PlayStation – Mad Chaos: July 25, 1998

That conversation with Lyssa today seemed like yesterday now that the day has almost passed.  There has been plenty of action since earlier today.

Play PlayStation Games With Jett

For starters, Jett came over my house at 2:30pm.  Catching me off guard, I think I was playing the computer.

Answering the door Jett came in.  Bringing his Sony PlayStation we began hooking it up to my television.  The good thing about the PlayStation is that it hooks up to the video, so not only can we record it on videotape but we can also use the sound of my stereo.

Hooking up the joysticks we started with ‘Gran Turismo’ a car game with an edge.

Playing two players, Jett and I picked out our cars and then headed onto the playing screen.  The big difference between this game and all others is the replay.  It’s fully three-dimensional.  The replay uses so many angles and captures the beauty and simulation of the key points in the game.  It was great.

Jett and I were having a great time.  We then put in ‘Grand Theft Auto’.  You guessed it, you have to steal cars and do jobs around the city like kill and loot.

Jett then showed me a game called ‘Resident Evil 2’ and this was the best game I’ve ever seen.  Sort of like ‘Flashback’ or ‘Fade To Black’ it had the most realistic 3-dimensional sequences and probably used real-time animation objects.

The game was excellent, as Jett took me past the first stage.  The game has a catch.  There is a man and a woman that get split up in a town of zombies.  At first you take on the roll of the man.  When he finishes the game there is a second disk for the lady where she has to then finish the game.

Lyssa Phones Many Times

Forgetting to note, Lyssa called me three times while I was mucking around on the PlayStation with Jett.  Lyssa was bored because Penelope had gone home from being over a short while.

“I will call back around 8pm tonight,” I told her while on the phone.

“I am not going out tonight.  I will be bored,” Lyssa hinted.

Ali Joins In On Prank Calls

While Jett and I were having something to eat, Ali came over around 7pm.

Ali was visiting the party in an hour or so.  But while we were playing John Madden Football we paused our competition game and showed Ali the phone freaking on the IBM.  Ali was cacking himself laughing.

Then I showed him when Imad and I pranked Trysta.  Ali was revved up and wanted to prank someone himself.  So we chose a Lebanese name that Ali chose out of the phone book that he knew.

The Lebanese guy answered the phone and sounded stoned at first.  Doing our Johnny story, we then started to get personal calling him names in Lebanese.  Ali then recognized him to be a Lebanese guy called Bill from Campbelltown.  He started to get scared when we read out his address from the phone book.  He thought it was someone that Ali and I knew.

This guy on the phone was the dude who painted Ali’s car back in the day.  That conversation went on for three calls.  We made him believe we were out the front of his house.

Ali then had to leave for the party, but I thanked him for coming over.

Jett and I then got back to playing ‘John Madden Football’.

He won two games where I beat him on one.  At first, Jett and I didn’t even know how to throw the ball.  But after the first game I figured it out.

Jett got hungry again so he rushed off to Bradbury shops on his motorbike, where he bought some chicken and chips for the both of us to eat.  Jett seems to be more generous, not like back in the day when he used to eat my house out.  That’s a weird change, but it must be because he’s rolling in money now.

Jett and I then watched a movie on television.

When Jett bought the food, which was delicious, I gave Lyssa a call.  But Lyssa wasn’t home, as her mum noted.  So where did Lyssa go?  Not with Penelope because she’s with Ali.  She might have gone out with Bielka.  But Lyssa was telling me how she didn’t want to visit the Temple tonight.  No, maybe she went out with Braxton tonight.  She could have called me before she left to inform me instead of making me call.

Jett Lends PlayStation To Me

Anyway, Jett left for home after the movie.  Being in one of his usual nice moods, he left the PlayStation with me so I can use it tonight.

Jett is coming over tomorrow.  We’ll probably play ‘John Madden Football’ again and he’ll take it back.  I should buy myself a PlayStation.  They’re heaps of fun.

Well, it’s now midnight.  So I might start on that game ‘Resident Evil 2’ where you have to finish it with the male and then the female.  Jett told me it takes seven hours with each player.  Let’s see what I can do.
