An Interactive Lifestyle

Months pass predominantly as time goes by.  Whatever that means.  I believe that boredom has been substituted by music, traveling, collecting interesting offers in the mail, my frame of thought, and chiefly, reading.  Yes, for some time now, my perception of absorbing knowledge and learning through words has been vastly practiced.

With material such as the ‘Drum Media’, ‘FHM’, the local newspapers and other various musical inspirations, it’s easy for me to interpret the columns of words within these pages.  Reading is fun.  Then typing on my computer and anything else interactive is fun.

Interactive is a tasteful example of what I am becoming.  Gone are the days where sitting behind a desk and following orders was the vagary.  These days I like to use my brain more, and learning through reading is a good example.

Beginning my actual entry after my philosophy, let me just try to conclude the last couple of days I haven’t been able to carry out.

Being Taken Advantage Of By Recording Studio

There was Monday morning.  That is the day where trouble began for our relationship, but that’s pretty much sorted out.

With the conversation over the phone I had with Jewell last night and the reality of today, I can honestly say Lyssa and I are back on track.  My thoughts towards not giving 100% to Lyssa, I know that’s because I get sidetracked with Jewell and my music.

Now I figure I’m being taken advantage of by ‘Nu Town Studios’ so I’m not sure whether to give them the benefit of the doubt and finish up my instrumental or forget about it completely.  Lately, I know I haven’t been mucking around with the artwork for the CD.  My thoughts, I think I should halt that project for a couple of months, where it won’t bother anyone.

Travel To Sydney To Meet Lyssa

Waking up this morning, this Wednesday morning, I heard the phone ring.  9am in the morning I received a call from Lyssa.  Having lunch at 11:30am, Lyssa wanted me to come in earlier.  Hanging up the phone and jumping out of bed, I had visions in my head of getting to see Kylie Minogue.

Having a shower and getting dressed, I found myself rushing out of the house.  Thinking that I would catch a bus with the wealth I had, a strike had been on for the day.  Late and disappointed I began walking.  Reaching Campbelltown in good time, I took the remainder of my money out of the bank and then headed for Campbelltown train station.

The next train leaving for the City was in five minutes and I had no ticket.  Boarding the train I took a seat and awaited the City.  Reaching Central Station I jumped out to call Lyssa.  Knowing that I would be late in collecting a ticket, I tried locating a public phone but they were all being used.

Finally I made it to a phone and tried using my phone card but it wouldn’t work.  Using money I called Lyssa’s work.  With five minutes before her lunch, she had already left.  Now in a real hurry I found a way out at Central, which I normally wouldn’t do.

Hurrying to a ticket machine I bought a ticket and then headed for St. James.  In such a hurry I crossed a busy street barely missing traffic.  Making it to Lyssa’s work 15 minutes late she didn’t look disappointed when I told her what I had been through.

Lunch With Lyssa In Sydney

Venturing down to a food court we both bought something to eat.  Having a conversation, Lyssa and I exchanged our edibles.  Lyssa then picked up the partner’s lunches.  Walking Lyssa back to work, I gave her a kiss.  I made arrangements to meet after Kylie Minogue and then head home.

Cutting Ties With Nu Town Studios

From there I had plans to head for Newtown but thought I should give them a call first.  My hunch was correct as Demi told me Mac the guitarist couldn’t make it in for the day and lamely mentioned he would be alright for the day.

I’m disappointed that ‘Nu Town Studios’ don’t have enough time to give unknown artists a go.  For the money I’m giving them, I don’t expect a half ass job and less attention to detail, I want as professional as they can give, 100% effort and I’m not receiving that.  Now the money that I’m spending on the instrumental I might just cut off.  Instead, I will save my money to buy clothes, pay off my credit card and save for a holiday on Lyssa’s birthday, or just after.

Listen To New Music In HMV Sydney

Now heading for HMV in the City where Kylie Minogue would be, stocked with my camera I was ready to make the light flash furiously.  Scoping out the territory, I found the barricades had not been placed up yet.  The time was 1pm and there was still three hours to go.  Not many people were lining up yet, so I thought I should listen to some CDs in HMV.

Listening away to music in HMV, I found a good CD or two.  An hour later I headed back up the stairs to see what the situation was.  Some barricades were now being set up but there was still two hours until her arrival.

Waiting upon those two hours to pass quickly, I headed across the street where Sanity was.  Funnily enough, May (who used to go to Airds High School and worked at a music store in Macarthur Square) was behind the counter.  Having a couple of words with her about what was happening, I said goodbye.  On the way out, I grabbed a couple of free magazines including ‘Drum Media’.

Time rolled by.  I traveled to a photo shop in my spare time to buy some film, learn some functions about my camera and buy some batteries as energy was depleted.

I tried to figure out whether Kylie Minogue would come through the crowd at the front or from a back entrance to the building.  Knowing that she wouldn’t walk through the front, my bet was on the back door.  All this time I was walking around the stage looking for good places to take some shots.  Talking to one of the Event Staff, he sounded cocky.  But I gathered that the Press would be getting the best shots.

Find Miroslav In Sydney

Walking up and down the stairs, I came back outside to wait for Nikita who I was supposed to meet at 2:30pm  Eyeing Nikita as she was walking down Pitt Street I caught her attention, but she didn’t seem too keen on stopping.  Concluding that she didn’t really want to be around me (maybe from embarrassment), she was on her way to get something to eat and then coming back.  Presuming there would be no feasible way of us hooking back up determined by the increasing crowd, I walked back into the midst of it all.

In anticipation, I waited at the front on-looking the stage in the distance, contemplating my actions.  Minutes past.  Looking to my side I noticed Miroslav standing there looking down on me with a smirk on his face.

“How are you,” I said to Miroslav, outstretching my hand across a photographer.

Miroslav was fine and had come down to the City by himself for some oddball reason.  Miroslav was just testing me to see how long it would be until I noticed him.  Jumping into conversation, Miroslav told me how Rita has been slutting around with a guy she doesn’t even want to be with, and how he clubs at the Temple often.

Deciding to move to the side of the stage where I would get my best shot, I invited Miroslav along.  Accepting, we walked to the side of the stage and were constantly harassed by Security because all of the people were blocking the walkway.  Walking into an adjacent shop, we started browsing through all their oddball soaps and sensual corks.  I was finding Miroslav hilarious as he demonstrated how to use all of the contraptions in his style, surviving in his own little world.  As the doors were closed we walked around and headed back to our destination.

Kylie Minogue Fashionably Late To Signing

Kylie was constantly late as everyone was anticipating her arrival.

In a fairly large crowd, Miroslav started raving on about how we should start chanting, “Kylie’s a slut.”

Amusing as this was, more charming was his explanation of what his first question to Kylie would be.  If I can recall, it was on the line’s of “Who was your first root,” lets out a laugh, “Jason Donovan or the other fag from Neighbors?”

Miroslav just kept amusing me until the near seconds of Kylie’s arrival.  The line to see Kylie was huge.  Lucky I wasn’t in it.

Finally taking my camera out, I took a shot of some reporters in the Press Box (the best chance of photos).

As Kylie was announced and she had taken her stand on the podium that was her little stage, the crowd was astonished by her velvety blue, tight, long dress.

A Photographer’s Mosh Pit

The crowd quickly filled the gap of the protective barriers.  I found myself taking snapshots quickly.  Kylie Minogue was posing for the cameras.  I had a fairly good spot to take photos from.  The security was fairly good to jump and duck out of the way of photos coming from the crowds.  I found that appealing.

Kylie Minogue Book Signing In HMV Sydney

My first roll of film was taken in succession and within ten minutes it was all over.  Cramped up like in a mosh pit, my challenge now was to free my left arm enough to grab into my right hand side pocket and get out the new film.  Interesting as I found it, there was a girl taking pictures in front of me.  My body had formed right behind her, no space in between us.  The same was evident with the back of me.  A girl was practically lying across my back, resting all her loose organs over me.

As we were all taking pictures, intricately opening up the camera and placing the rolled film in my pocket, I tried my luck removing the other film from my pocket.  Slowly but surely it was taken out as I also had trouble placing it in my camera.  Having to open the lid with my teeth, empty the contents into one pocket, place the container in another pocket and then taking the film out of my pocket and loading it into the camera, I found it fatiguing.

Lyssa Joins Me In Mosh Pit

With a new roll of film Miroslav and I moved out and tried to walk to the other side.  Miroslav had enough of Kylie and thought it was time to head off.  So now I was on my own.  That didn’t hinder me at all.  I found a very good location on the other side taking some very good shots.  There were even one or two shots where Kylie had looked towards the camera.  They should be great.

While taking the shots and moving around I noticed Lyssa and pulled her towards me.  One of the security guards was ordering everyone to move back.  Eyeing me all night and seeing Lyssa in my hands now they grinned at me and eased off.  My thoughts were that they had seen a blonde beauty in front of them.  Because she was female, they thought they should take it easy and smile.  Lyssa seems to have that affect on males.  It’s not really stunning beauty that they see but whatever they see in Lyssa surpasses what they see in every other female.  Men must get images of Lyssa doing sexual things for them, actions they don’t see in other women, so all they can do is be nice and grin.

Lyssa followed me around as I took pictures.  Sharing my stories with her she was delighted to see Kylie in the flesh as I was.  Being my first stint with photography, I didn’t really pay attention to Kylie, only angles and artistry.  Lyssa and I sat down to have something to eat when I thought I had taken enough shots.

At one stage I had gotten so close to Kylie because I was constantly moving the barricade closer towards the stage.  People noticed standing on the fence but security didn’t.  That was used to my advantage, as I also heightened myself from the barricade to get some good shots.

In A Corridor Of Photographers

Having something quick to eat I once again joined the fray.  Soon after it was time for Kylie to leave.  This time I waited at the back where I knew she would leave from.  Signing the last autograph for a young reporter (and Mario Fenech was also there for the Footy show which I also took a picture of), she headed for the back exit.  There a bunch of cameras awaited her, mine also in the midst.

Making a human corridor for her, she began her walk down the row of cameras, mine flashing twice.  The second flash I’m not too proud of.  In a way I am.  Coming as close as a body away from me, I didn’t have a clear shot of her, so I placed my camera a couple of inches from her face, took a photo and hoped for the best.  Kylie blinked when I took a photo.  I can’t help but to think she was annoyed with it.  If she was annoyed then I would like to apologize to her.  This is the best way I guess.

A Train Back With Lyssa

Joining Lyssa again who was having something to eat, we headed for the station where there were a lot of commuters.  Sitting down on some seats, we awaited the 6:20pm train.  Late as it was, the train was still packed to Campbelltown.  We didn’t get to sit down until we arrived at East Hills.  Lyssa sat in front of me and I sat behind her, as I would talk to her on occasion.  Soon the seats were vacated, but we were at Leumeah and both of us were jumping off.

Lyssa called her mum to pick her up because buses were on strike.  Lyssa was getting picked up but I had to call my dad.  Lyssa sat down to wait for her mum.  As I called dad for a lift, Lyssa had a cackle at my Macedonian language and how I acted on the phone.

Taking a picture of Lyssa, she came to sit on my lap before her mum arrived.  Catching the next available train, I waved goodbye to Lyssa, as her mum was buying something from the shops.  Until I couldn’t see Lyssa in the car anymore, I kept waving.

Lyssa Phones My Home

Reaching Campbelltown, dad was already there.  Jumping into the car, I told him of my adventure today.

To cut a story short (as if it isn’t long enough already), I came home, relaxed, looked at all the new food, had something to eat and called Lyssa.

Conversation with Lyssa was based on Friday night and how Lyssa is waiting for her dad at the station and then we are catching a taxi to her house.  There, Lyssa will have a shower and then we will head for Leumeah Tennis Club where we will eat.

Lyssa was very tired and had to sleep, so we said our goodnights at 8:30pm and she was off.  Watching television, Lyssa called me back at 10pm because she couldn’t sleep.  Having a feeling that she might have called yesterday also (and hung up when she was on easy call, while I was talking to Jewell), thoughts were rushing through my head.  Lyssa couldn’t sleep but was tired.  After chatting with me she was ready to sleep.

2.5 Hours Typing Diary Entry

Now I’ve been here writing in this Diary for about two or more hours now, I’m getting tired of typing and my brain is almost sleeping.  As soon as I read some more and have something to eat I’m going to sleep.

Tomorrow I’ll be heading to Campbelltown to look for a job and meet up with Lyssa after work.  I’ve done some more sit ups tonight, just like last night.  That’s all.
