Yes, upon receiving my IBM Pentium 200 MHz computer yesterday, today I’m a new man and I’m proud.
Installing Windows 95 On New IBM Computer
Coming home from work at Martinson Engineering yesterday, I couldn’t wait to walk in the door. Waiting for half an hour, Pablo the sales rep turned up and sold me my new computer. He even put Windows 95 on it, luckily, because my Windows 95 version doesn’t want to work.
He showed me the basics for half an hour. Then he talked to me for a half an hour more and left.
The computer is sick! It is an IBM Pentium 200+ MHz, 16 Megabytes of Ram, 1.7 Gig hard drive, 14 inch monitor, 24 speed CD ROM driver, 16 bit sound card and 2 Megabyte Video Card, with a 101 keyboard and mouse and software all for $1000.

Picking Up Software From Johnnie
Shawn also came over.
Giving Lyssa a call, she wanted me to call back because Mallory was over her house.
Shawn and I drove to Johnnie’s house to obtain the CDs with all the software files on it.
Mallory Gets Stood Up
Shawn left and I called Lyssa back at 9:30pm. She told me how Mallory slept with one of her friends that she’s known for a while and they done everything. The guy asked her to her house and they done it. Now he’s avoiding her. They asked me what does that mean.
Mallory really likes him now and invited him out with her. Once a guy’s set his mind on what he likes it’s very hard to change his thought. She’s got no chance.
Installing Software Onto New IBM Pentium Computer
We talked for over an hour but she could see that I was interested also in my new IBM Pentium computer.
The rest of the night and some of the morning was spent placing programs and files on my IBM Pentium computer.
There are plenty of programs on there, but I haven’t had the time to work any out as yet.
I stayed on until 12am last night trying to figure the new computer out and install software.
Martinson Engineering Work – Thursday
After less than six hours of sleep I’m not really that tired, and it’s almost halfway through the day at Martinson Engineering.
A Floppy Disk Malfunction Erases Diary Entries
Right now I just had a big problem though. For the last two Diary entries I’ve been writing from work and I tried to load the diary on my new IBM Pentium computer at home. Taking the floppy disk out prematurely, I must have erased some information. Seems to me that I erased the whole diary entry.
The diary entries wouldn’t load, so I had to load up all different editors to obtain the raw text file. Half of the script was corrupt and was in a different code. So I had to scan the floppy disk and re-copy clusters. The floppy disk was unbearably loud, so I had to stop it before it finished.
Luckily I was able to retrieve at least a page or two of lost information, but sadly I haven’t retrieved at least half a page of writing. No worries.
Weekend Plans
For today, I’m contemplating whether to visit Campbelltown Library and work on Lyssa’s poem or go home, return Bert Roscoe’s CDs and then play with my computer. I think I’ll do the latter.
This weekend I’m going to work on Lyssa’s poem for her and leave it at her house on Sunday, so I can call her on Tuesday and surprise her.
This weekend we are seeing a movie on Friday.
Saturday we are either sun baking or visiting the City.
Sunday I’ll be spending the day at Lyssa’s and half the day at Shawn’s house.
