Boss Leaves me an Angry Letter – Mad Chaos: March 19, 1997

Waking up at 7am I had to hurry to get to work.

I missed my late train.  I had to catch a later train to Ashfield.

Reprimanded For Being Late

Getting to work at 10:15am, Frank wasn’t too happy.

I got the mail from the shared mailbox at the front entrance of our office block.

When coming back I saw Frank had stepped out the office.

On my desk was a letter saying, “You were late.  I hope you can come earlier.  Thanks.”  That’s his angry note.

I should get to work earlier.  I’ll try to catch an earlier train tomorrow.

Konquer Insurance Work Day

Work was all computer today, typing up a big document.

Harriet wasn’t in the office today, so she must be a casual.  I didn’t see Yanna either, so what’s going on.

Coming home from work I got a lift home with Sankar.

Icy Conversation With Jewell

At home I ate lots of food.

Jewell called me on the dot at 8pm.

Upon picking up the phone I didn’t say anything to her.  It took her a while to say something to me.  As soon as she spoke I knew if she had received the letter or not.

For half an hour we were trying to deceive each other into talking about the letter.  Staying away from the true fact, we tried to get around it by tricking each other.  Both of us knew she had the letter.  I heard her moving the paper around.

“What have you got in your hand,” I asked.

“What!!!” was her reply, as if that wasn’t enough of a giveaway.

“Can you read the first line,” I hinted.

Finally I got her to read the first line of the poem.

After I read it ten minutes ago unbeknownst to her.  She didn’t want to read it all to me for a reason, like there was something on there that didn’t have to be said.

I had to tell her about the next letter coming because I don’t write who sends them.  Her mom might collect it and open it.

Jewell is getting more and more painful on my thoughts.
