Get Floor Is Lava on Google Play
Morning testing, before school
The newest build had gone live overnight, so the morning started with a quick playtest before getting Lance ready for school. Dying on a level brought up the “You Died” screen with an ad: watch it, and it disables the piggy bank for fifteen minutes as a bit of immunity. That part worked, but a small down-arrow on the piggy bank had knocked the box layout down a block; a cosmetic bug worth fixing, since it wasn’t there in the previous build. Coins and everything else checked out fine.
Lance got a look at one of the Floor Is Lava trailer clips on the drive to school and asked to watch his own video again: a good sign the promo material was landing with its intended seven-year-old test audience.

Trigger registry and cavern events
The bulk of the day’s build work went into a new “trigger registry” system; timed events that fire every six to ten seconds while climbing. Twelve obstacle ideas came out of a Claude brainstorming session; seven made the cut, including one that awards coins. Additions landed through the day: a diamond prism with a radial shine that pushes the player sideways, a lava bubble burst, and a screen-shake tremor tied to Scorcha’s first appearance in an episode; nearby tipping platforms shake and pay out gold, once per level, resetting each run.
Cavern mode picked up a proper event register too, with seven distinct triggers: chime, spider, pebbles, owl, geyser, embers, and glowworms; now shared between both Cavern and Climber modes. Cavern mode also got a solid wall it had been missing.
