Get Floor Is Lava on Google Play
Showing the game to a friend
Demoed Floor Is Lava; music on, power-ups and the lava ship shown off. Verdict:
Friend: “That’s a pretty good idea. Kids would like that.” … “Is it on Google Play?”
Me: “Not yet, but I’ve got an APK. I’m going to upload it soon, but I’ve got to serve ads on it. I’ve got to figure out how to serve ads on it first.”
Setting the ad philosophy
My friend described the kind of ad experience that annoys him in his own puzzle games; an ad every thirty seconds, two clicks just to watch it. I used the conversation to set a clear rule for myself:
“Those are really annoying. I’m not going to do mine like that. Maybe just one ad that you have to watch for five seconds when you turn the phone on; that’s it.”
