Boss mode, made presentable

Boss mode worked mechanically from yesterday but looked too primitive: redesigned the power-up HUD for a genuine one-click buy-and-fire action instead of the old three-click sequence, and commissioned proper Claude Design artwork for Scorcha’s projectiles and the player’s own.

Level editor: capping the green platforms

Fixed a fairness issue in the editor: green (coin) platforms should spawn at an 8% rate by design, but the configurator and live editor let you place them at any density. Added a hard cap so green placements above 8% are rejected outright, plus a proper save-to-editor button for the live configurator, which had been silently discarding edits on exit.

A full icon set, finally

Spent half the day iterating a batch of custom icons in Claude Design: pick one, feed it back in, regenerate the batch to match its style, repeat; until landing on a cohesive set. First time the game has had its own icon identity rather than defaults.

Retiring a fun-but-broken exploit

The book power-up let you spam-press it mid-flight to conjure new platforms out of nowhere, which was fun but glitchy. Fixed by requiring the catapult sequence to finish before another power-up can fire: a small loss of chaos for a real gain in stability.
