Showing a friend: “It’s pretty good”

Demoed the game to a friend, with Lance introducing it as his own creation:

“It’s done with AI. Lance told me all the ideas for how to play the game, and I wrote them in, and we developed it together.”
Friend, on seeing the animated storyboard background: “Did AI make that too?”
Me: “Yeah.”

The friend had tried coding once in year seven and gave up: a small reminder of how much friction AI-assisted development has removed from a process that used to require a computer science degree’s worth of patience.

Real payments, tested end to end

Ran a genuine tester’s-eye pass tonight: added a licensed tester account, installed the latest internal-testing APK, and confirmed a real purchase flow; logged into the test Gmail account, bought the premium bundle, and it worked cleanly, free of charge as intended for a licensed tester.

“Google Pay works on the mobile phone. Payments work on the mobile phone. Payments work on the desktop with Paddle. The only thing I have to integrate now is AdMob… I think the game’s ready.”

Also put a promotion up on Facebook to start recruiting the twelve closed testers needed to start the 14-day countdown to public release.

Focus: real purchase flow tested and confirmed working on mobile and desktop; tester recruitment begins.
