Not a one-pass developer
A reflective entry, prompted by watching online creators brag about building an app “in one pass” with AI. A quick stocktake of actual version counts across every project in progress:
“The PB Tracker app itself is up to about version 200, so I’ve made more than 200 passes… Sky Finder game has had 77 versions. Retro Racer has had 81 versions… War Chest Vastaria is already up to version 72. Floor Is Lava is up to version 227. Maze Shaker is only up to version 25.”
The point drawn from it: real development isn’t a single magic prompt; it’s hundreds of small passes, guided by existing IT knowledge and creative direction, with AI doing the typing.
