Lyssa Chases Rainbows

Lyssa didn’t go to work today.  Traveling to the train station she was very upset and walked to the video shop 45 minutes before it opened.  The person who owned the store had noticed Lyssa sad so he invited her in and talked with her.  Being the nice person he is, he offered her a choice of any movie for $3 instead of $7.  What a nice thing.

Lyssa didn’t go to College today.  Instead, she walked out of the video shop with her movie and sat viewing a discovered rainbow in the distance.  There Lyssa sat for half an hour looking in awe at this rainbow, and finding hope and light before it.  Lyssa always thought to herself that rainbows are a sign of hope.

After half an hour, Lyssa walked home notably happy.  It’s like the rainbow had made Lyssa realize that she didn’t want to lose my friendship, my relationship as her best friend.

Lyssa Is Pushy To See Me

This morning, I was supposed to get the pictures developed and then send some copies to Lyssa.  In the morning at 11am, Lyssa gave me a call.

“Are you heading into Campbelltown to develop the photos,” she wanted to know.

She seemed pushy to see me.

“I will be going later in the day,” I replied.

“It’s okay.  You can go back to sleep,” sounding arrogant, she let me go.

Nearing 12:30pm Lyssa called me one more time.

“When are you going to Campbelltown,” she seemed pushy.

“I will call you when I have developed the photos so that you can see them,”I told her.

Really, I thought it was an excuse just to see me.

Falling asleep once again, I woke up at 1pm and started to get myself ready.

Developing Camera Film In Town

Having a shower upstairs I made myself a small breakfast.  Then packing on some clothes I headed for Campbelltown on foot.  Nearing Ralf’s house, I remembered that I forgot the film for the photos.  knowing that was the purpose to head for Campbelltown, I headed back home.

With the fact that the buses were coming in a couple of minutes in my mind, I rushed home as fast as I could.  Grabbing the film and borrowing some money from my mum I headed for the bus stop, but I knew it was too late.  Instead, I had to wait half an hour for the next bus.  On a fairly hot winter’s day, I caught my bus.

In Campbelltown I took my money out from the bank.  Then I put the film in to get developed before I headed to get my haircut.

Self-Conscious Visit To Hairdresser

Walking to ‘Alexandria’s Hair Design’ where Lyssa gets her hair done all the time, I paused out the front, hesitant to walk inside.  Thoughts just went through my head that they would ask me about Lyssa.  But after some consideration, I walked in.

Sitting down on one of the chairs, there was a girl getting her hair dyed blonde.

Sitting down in their chairs I was pampered by an older lady working there.  I cut a couple of centimeters from my hair length and once again got an undercut.

Once my hair was done I traveled to Queen Street and called Lyssa up on a payphone.  Penelope was on the phone as she put me onto Lyssa.

“The photos are almost done.  I will call you later to let you know what is happening,” I informed Lyssa.

Ali Turns Back To Pick Me Up

Just as I was hanging up the payphone on Queen Street, I noticed Ali going over the speed hump and tried whistling to him.  That didn’t work so I called him up from the payphone.

“Ali.  I saw you driving down Queen Street in your Celica.  I’m at the payphones.  Come back,” I told him.

“Alright!  Go up to the Commonwealth bank.  I will pick you up there,” he said.

Walking up to the Commonwealth Bank I stood there waiting upon his arrival.  Reaching me, I jumped in.

“Hey bro.  Where are you going,” I asked as we shook hands.

“I have to take my car to the mechanic,” he shared.

As he gave the Celica some gas, we headed for an auto repair place.

Teachers, Students, Schools, Language Partners, all in the one community. Jiaoyu Community.

Everybody Knows Lyssa And I Broke Up

Jumping out, Ali had to inform the handyman that the car was coming in the next day and what the guy had to do with it.  Penelope was driving in the car the next day.  I opted to escort her there in case the guy pulls a shifty with the price because Penelope is a girl that shouldn’t know about cars.  Also, I thought we could travel to the Bonds store and pick out some clothes for myself.

All the time I was with Ali he didn’t really comment about me being broken up with Lyssa so I thought he didn’t know.  The truth is that he did know.  Penelope had told him while he was at work and Ali was in denial.  Penelope told everyone.

This is what happened.  Lyssa called Penelope in the morning and told her.  She was right over.  Kiley called Lyssa at home.  Lyssa told Kiley the news.  Kiley called Kieran.  He was right over also.  Penelope called up Bielka and Delaney and they were over within an hour.

Lyssa’s mum knew from last night by how much Lyssa was crying on the phone.  Penelope even told her own mum and a couple of other people know.  So, the word is out, everyone knows.  Most people think we will get back together despite Lyssa’s plight, informing everyone it was definitely over, there was no hope.

Nervous Driving To Lyssa’s House

Penelope called Ali from Lyssa’s house while we were at the auto place.

“Lyssa wants to speak you you for a couple of minutes,” Ali passed on the message from Penelope.

Then he handed me his mobile phone.

“We will probably drive to your house to show you the pictures,” I told Lyssa.

Once we were off and rolling, we tried to race a car, but that didn’t happen.  Ali and I picked up the photos.  Then we came to the petrol station to fill up on some petrol.

“You guys are just having a little lover’s tiff,” Ali was cautious about traveling to Lyssa’s house.

At first, I was glad that we weren’t traveling to Lyssa’s house.  I was dreading the moment.  But, I realized that it was wrong to avoid Lyssa.  I thought it would be best if we just drove to Lyssa’s house but I waited in the car.  Lyssa deserved more than the cold shoulder from me.

Looking At Our Bizarre Photos

Driving to Lyssa’s house I noticed all the cars out the front of the house.  The first person to come out was Penelope.  A couple of steps behind her was a cautious Lyssa.

“Can I see the photos that you developed,” she walked up to my window and asked.

Showing the photos to Lyssa, there were some real good photos of Kylie Minogue.

Some photos were of Lyssa and I both in bathrobes.  There were also photos of Lyssa dressed up as me.

“Those photos are pretty bad,” we both admitted it.

Those were fairly tasteless shots of Lyssa and I.  It’s too bizarre.

Lyssa Feels Left Out

Trying to spark conversation at this fairly awkward point in our lives, it didn’t come hard, but it didn’t come easy.  Feeling conscious of Lyssa looking in my direction, we both tried to focus on what Ali and Penelope were doing.  Occasionally I would look in Lyssa’s direction to make conversation.

Lyssa felt left out.

“I feel cold.  I’m going inside,” she excused.

I felt bad as I had seen a tear in her eye, but she would have felt better inside anyway.

Penelope left soon after that.

“Tony is going with you to the auto mechanic tomorrow, alright,” Ali informed Penelope.

“Okay.  Tony, be ready at 9:30am tomorrow morning so we can go early,” Penelope asked.

Will that happen?  is it a reality?

Leaving Lyssa’s house we drove to Campbelltown en route to my house.  Ali dropped me off, we said our good-byes.

Lyssa Stops Taking The Pill

Here I am at my house, all alone.  Really, it has been a good move for the both of us.  We are both happy and can see that now.  Lyssa is happy and relieved.  I am somewhat reminiscent but happy.

I called Lyssa just before writing in my Diary.  Lyssa noted some more important news for my Diary.  Feeling it is pointless, now on her period, Lyssa has stopped taking the pill.  Lyssa also noted that the pill was making her breasts larger.  They did get very big.  That came unexpectedly to me and shocked me slightly but came as no surprise to me.

Now that Lyssa and I have realized our evident date of break up, what’s the use of being on the pill?

Lyssa Depressed About Birthday

Lyssa stresses that she will never have sex with anyone anymore.  Knowing that probably won’t be the case, Lyssa started to cry briefly at the thought I might find someone else and then be sexually intimate with them.  Calming Lyssa down, we broke out into laughter just after that.

Lyssa was also depressed about her birthday and how it will be so boring for her now.  Only a month or more away, I pledged that I would do something for her to show her I still care, maybe have lunch or dinner with her.  Lyssa told me how much being with me would mean to her for that day, so today I promise myself that as a friend, I will be there with her for her nineteenth birthday and buy her a present.

Lyssa was also depressed about the fact that she won’t be able to watch the ‘Madonna’ video clip at my house, but I assured her that we would watch it someday.

Feeling That Lyssa Is Happier

“In eight months, if both of us are still without a partner, then we should get together,” I commented.

“I feel the same way,” Lyssa agreed.

“After a long break, I heard that getting back together strengthens the relationship and renews the feelings you had the first day you laid eyes on each other,” she continued.

That thought pleased me greatly, knowing that in the future Lyssa and I still have a chance.  She has changed her reasoning that once is enough with a partner.

we worked out how we are going to be very good friends from this day forth.  Friendships can never be broken.  Even if I do have a girlfriend Lyssa will be like “Can I speak to Tony” to my girlfriend over the phone.  Lyssa really wants to be a part of my life and I want to be a part of hers.  I hope that happens.

What must happen now, if Jewell really accepts me, she will understand that I need Lyssa in my life still, not to be fully dematerialized.

After blissful and positive conversation, and little secrets like how Jermaine held Lyssa’s hand to his heart (not that she likes him) at the Catholic Club whence she visited last.

“One day we will be back together,” he said.

Lyssa Plans To Buy A Car

Now that Lyssa is separated from me and we are both moving on, she told me she would have to work out and buy a new car as a sarcastic act to make me envious.  That made me laugh knowing that now, Lyssa had more motivation to get fit.  As for the car, Lyssa told me she doesn’t care how in the red she gets with her money.  She will buy a car.  The reason is because on the weekends, Lyssa will have nothing to do, just be bored.  So with a car, she can visit friends and be amongst friends.

Conversation ended when it was time for the both of us to go at 8:10pm more than an hour after we started talking.

This conversation, unlike our usual ones was full of conversation instead of wanting to get off.  Now that this burden has been lifted, Lyssa and I are closer together, even though we had to take a huge step backwards to do it.  We are more at peace with each other.

While writing in my Diary I just thought of Lyssa and how much I loved her, so I called her back.

Her mum passed the phone to her.

“I want you to know that I sincerely love you,” I shared my feelings.

“I love you too, sincerely,” she shared the same.

When that was done, we just chatted for a minute.  Then it was goodnight once again.
