Trashing The Wollongong Novotel – Mad Chaos: April 27, 1998

Just a couple of days now until May.  I’m not sure what I was trying to accomplish at the start of this month but it must have been music orientated.  I know I never expected to make a big step into recording my song and mostly, starting my name in the music industry.

The Boys Gather At My House

Saturday night Lucas came over before anyone else did for that night, as we cranked up some games on the computer.  Half an hour later Imad and Ali came to pick me up.  I jumped in with them and we headed for Campbelltown.

Lucas picked up Tatton on the way.  Then Keith came with Ralf and Shawn in the car.  Simon was also out with his car.  We had plans of driving to Wollongong and then to the City.  Everyone apart from Ali, Imad and I were ready to go while everyone else was twiddling their thumbs.

Getting some petrol, we came back to the group.  Before leaving Lucas left his car and jumped in with Simon.  Keith (as usual) didn’t want to take his car, so Shawn eventually took his.  Finally we left.

Cruise To Wollongong

Driving down to Wollongong, Imad was trying to rev-up the others into racing, but they kept backing off and lagging behind most of the way.  To have our fun we kept hiding in driveways and off streets and then coming up behind them, but they didn’t want to play.

Reaching Wollongong we circled it once and then stopped near the Novotel.  Having nothing to do we decided to repeat the past and ransack the Novotel once again.  No one wanted to come in.  In the end, Ralf, Shawn, Lucas and I went first all dressed in Campbelltown clothes.

Walking in, we noticed there must have been some formal gathering happening, as everyone was dressed fine.  On the bottom deck, there was a lady playing and singing with the piano formally dressed, and people sitting down, formally dressed.  Then there’s us, walking up to the second floor and looking down at the piano player.

Not noticed that much, we walk to the elevator, as we notice Imad and Ali behind us also jumping into the elevator.  Who didn’t come was Keith, Tatton, Noah and Simon.

Pressing all the buttons to the top level we climbed levels without a hitch.  Jumping out on the fifth level we split up and then started taking down ‘Do Not Disturb’ signs for souvenirs.

Next level up we loaded one of the elevators with two chairs and a cigarette box and then sent it downstairs.  Up one more level we took some more signs.  Seeing a container full of cut fruit out the front of one door, I took it and started eating before going down to the bottom level.

Someone jumped in the same elevator.  It would have been funny for him to see us hoodlums and him in his tuxedo.

On the bottom level we started walking outside.  Then we watched through the glass windows to see if our chairs were coming downstairs yet.

Stepping out of the elevator was security.  For kicks we started running.  Security came out and we ran to the cars, as Keith and others stood where they were.

At the cars we waited for a couple of minutes and then jumped into our cars.  With nothing more to do in Wollongong we headed to Sydney.

A Cruise Into Sydney

Once again, we were trying to play chase to the City but they kept back.  Near the City we lost them.  Just before Sydney Lucas called us to inform us they had stopped at a petrol station.  We told them to meet us near the City.

I thought to myself, “I didn’t see a petrol station on the way down.”

They probably dogged it and then went home, giving us a courtesy call and disguising it.

While Imad, Ali and I were in the City, we didn’t do much but drive.  We didn’t stop in Sydney except to buy cigarettes.  Then half an hour later we started heading home.

On the way home we raced two good-looking girls.  Imad tried to talk to them.  The rest of the way home we were passing people.

Sleep Over Lyssa’s House

Lyssa called me while I was coming home to see if I was sleeping at her house.  Thirty minutes after she called I was at her house ringing on the doorbell.  She woke up.  I almost laughed as she answered the door in a daze, eyes centered on me.  Lyssa looked like she didn’t know where she was.

Lyssa and I walked back to the bedroom.  Before we both went to sleep we talked about our nights, gave each other a kiss.  Tired as we both were, we went to sleep.

A Lazy Sunday Ruckus

Sunday we were slow to wake up as the time came to 1:30 p.m.  Finally waking up I had a shower.  Then we both had something to eat.  Penelope called Lyssa soon after while I watched some television.

Lyssa came into the lounge room after her conversation.  She was tired so we went to the bedroom.  Lyssa and I had a quick ruckus.  After that I had a short shower.  Lyssa’s eyes were tired and we both went to sleep for two hours.

Waking up at 5pm we walked to the kitchen with the intention of cleaning up.  For the first time we tried Lyssa’s dishwasher but for some reason the twenty-year-old junk didn’t want to work.

I walked to the local shops to buy some food for Lyssa and I.  When there I ordered hot chips and two hamburgers before walking back to Lyssa’s house.

Lyssa got off the phone from one of her friends and then we started to eat.  Near the end of our dinner we were stuffed and lucky to have eaten as much as we did.

Lyssa and I then decided to watch television in the lounge room, as we started to watch ‘The NET’.  After five hours of being awake we went to sleep again.

Lyssa Leaves For College

Waking up this morning we found that Kuper wasn’t home yet from the weekend.  I lay in bed, as Lyssa got ready for College.  Ten minutes before she left she jumped in bed to keep warm with me.  Then I gave her a kiss when it was time for her to leave.

Sleeping until 9:30am I jumped up, fed the cat, had something simple to eat, and then headed for Campbelltown.

Run Errands In Town

While in Campbelltown I paid off $100 on my Credit Card, which I haven’t done for a long time.  Then I got my hair cut.  When all was done I headed home, and here I am.

Now I have to go back to Campbelltown, buy two blank CDs and visit the Internet.

Tonight I’m staying over Lyssa’s house.  On Tuesday night I’m staying home so I can prepare for Newtown and possibly the City.  I’ve got about half an hour before I have to head for Campbelltown so I might as well make it worthwhile.
