Send Jewell A Birthday Card – Mad Chaos: March 31, 1998

Hitting Rock Bottom

It’s the first of the month and that means opening new doors to myself.  Every first day of the month I plan myself for the month to come, or at least I try.  Like I said last month I have been having a bad month up until now, losing my job, money, my mobile phone service, and now I’m broke.  It’s time to regain my mortality and start visualizing my dream of using music as my payment.

A Birthday Card For Jewell

Tomorrow it’s Jewell’s birthday.  I won’t give her a call on the day but I will be sending her a birthday card.  Buying it yesterday from the Post Office in Sydney, it’s a card from the “Far Side” collection.  I think it’s hilarious.  That’s been the trend for the both of us since I sent her a card similar and she sent one back.  There’s nothing to go with the card, but she doesn’t want anything else.

Browsing Birthday Cards

Yesterday morning after my entry I had a shower and got ready to visit Campbelltown.  Taking all my work with me I walked to Campbelltown.  I only had a short time before I had to visit the City for Lyssa.

Walking into the Newsagent I tried to look for birthday cards.  Not finding any good ones I looked at the new magazines (like Ralph and FHM or whatever it is), and then left.  Taking some money out of the bank I caught the train and then headed for the City with a ticket in my hand.

Bump Into Devon In Sydney

In the City I didn’t have much time to look around, so I walked to Pitt Street to buy Lyssa’s shirt with my money.  When Lyssa gets paid on Wednesday she will give me $180 for my suit.  I can get it out on Thursday.  I called the suit place in Parramatta and they said it was alright.

After buying the shirt I paced myself in looking for a Newsagent.  I found the Post Office near Lyssa’s work.  Walking there I noticed Devon (Lyssa’s friend) and waved to him as I walked in the Post Office.  Looking around the “Far Side” cards, he came in.  We started chatting about his job and how close it was to Lyssa’s work.  Ten minutes later he left to deposit $400 for his work.  I picked out a birthday card and bought it.

Bump Into Nikita On The Train

All my work in Sydney was done, as I left for home again.  Catching the train, I was taken the long way around the City circle and then stopped at Central to wait for my train.  Jumping on at 3:20pm, I couldn’t find a seat downstairs and decided to sit near the doors.

Looking up to the top level, I noticed Nikita sitting there by herself on the first seat.  Deciding to be polite I jumped up and then walked up until I was in her face.  Nikita didn’t see me until the last moment.  Then she looked up and let out a little laugh as to say, “What are the odds of that.”  I felt the same way.

Sitting down next to Nikita we talked all the way back to Campbelltown.  She told me the whole story of how she became a vegetarian and how she has been sick the last few weeks and never gets sick.  Nikita also told me of the weekend just past how her and Constantine visited the Catholic Club, got drunk and then slept over a guy friend’s house.

Nikita told me how she was doing with her Advertising course.  Then I told her what I want to do with my life.  We discussed that for the rest of the way home.  Nikita was catching the train to Macarthur Square to catch her bus, so I said goodbye and got off at Campbelltown.

Sydney Fried Chicken With Lyssa

Lyssa was already there waiting for me because she caught the early train home, which was a direct link.  I showed Lyssa her shirt and also the birthday card that I had bought for Jewell.  Then we headed to Sydney Fried Chicken to buy some food.  My shout.

As Lyssa and I ate we discussed what her money was going on this week, and other things in general.  Finishing up, we were going to catch a bus straight away, but I had seen someone I didn’t particularly feel like talking to, so we waited.

Walking into a computer shop I tried to get my application letter printed out once again, but after twenty minutes of trying everything, they just couldn’t do it.  What they found was to be a cluster error on my disk, which disappointed me because it had happened the day before.  Now it was time to catch our bus as we waited patiently for it, hand in hand.

Lyssa Enjoys Soapies

Back at my house we just watched television for most of the night.  It seems that Lyssa has been trapped in the world of the soapies.  I get repulsed at the fact that she snaps at me when I try and talk to her during her television watching.

Home Gym Session

Later in the night after eating a heavy amount of food I thought it was time to have a weights session.  Stepping into the other room I loaded up the weights higher than I’ve ever had them.  I started with Deadlifts and then shoulder pressing the weight.  After that I had done my usual sets for Biceps, some Triceps, Chest, Legs, Back and then a whole lot of Abdominal work.  Sweating heavily from that, I had a long cold shower to cool off.

Drying myself off I walked back into my bedroom where Lyssa was already half asleep.  I decided to stay awake for a while longer since I was bored.  After an hour of watching boring television, I followed suit.

Hustling Lyssa To The Bus Stop

Lyssa and I had eight hours of sleep last night and waking up this morning I started to kiss Lyssa on the neck, to wake her up in a different mood.  As she woke up she had a shower.  I patiently waited for her return.  Little did I know that when she came back we would start arguing.

The reason we argued was because she wanted to take the day off school and spend it with me, but I knew she was just using me as an easy excuse not to go.  If Lyssa was at her house she would have no reason not to go to College.  So, I made it clear I was upset that she even thought about it.  As we argued and got onto each other’s nerves for a while, there came a quiet time.

Lyssa eventually finished her makeup and was ready a little late, as I donned some clothes and escorted her to the bus stop.  Lyssa just missed her bus, which made me angry.  Then we sat down to wait for the next one.  Lyssa doesn’t like going to College on Tuesdays because she has no friends today, which I find a bad reason not to go.

Lyssa and I did end up talking to each other shortly and then the bus came.  I gave her a kiss.  Then she was off without a backward glance.  Walking back to my house, I talked to the lady down the street before coming back in to clean my room up and start on my Diary entry.

Jewell’s Birthday Poem

Yesterday I received a call from ‘Work Directions’ while I was in the City, so I will be giving them a call later today to see if it was an interview they were after.

Later today I will be traveling to Campbelltown to send Jewell’s letter and my application for work experience.  After all that, I will be traveling to Lyssa’s house to meet her after College around 3:30pm.

Here is the poem that I wrote on Jewell’s birthday card later today.

For your day of remembrance,

I am here, to wish all the best,

Noise in its purest form,

Expressed to you, and what I think of you.

To cap off the month almost finished, and as I am about to note for April the first (I accidentally thought March was 30 days long so today’s entry might be a little out of date), this letter has been sent off.  Jewell should be receiving the letter on Thursday, which in reality is Jewell’s birthday.  Thursday is also the day I get my suit and visit the City to use the internet.

Well, more in April.  Being 11:52pm right now, it’s only a couple of minutes.
