Diary Reveals Relationship History With Lyssa

Isn’t it funny how after a while of going out everyone goes through stages.  I’ve noticed that with me and Lyssa when looking through my Diary entries as far as half a year ago looking for signs that I’ve seen her before.

At the start before I got onto Lyssa we were very aware of each other.  But I noticed that she would not try and get too friendly with me.

An example is that we found a letter that she didn’t want us to see, so Imad took one letter and I took the other.  Imad had the most valuable letter so she chased him hard and long.  She wasn’t very playful with Imad but she would give chase to him.

When Imad gave me the letter she would caution the way she chased me as not to give an impression to me.  She would get close to me and stop, trying not to touch me.  I would feel the same.  After all, I didn’t want her to know that I liked her, and she felt the same.

Then there was the time a day before we got onto each other (20th June) that we were at Kentlyn and she was more aware of me, busting her looking at me through the rear vision mirror trying to be sneaky.

Her expression on her face was that of trying to unravel me and to see if I would be suitable for her in the long run.  A thought was in her head of the both of us together, one that would have been there since the day we met, as I was told.

Then there was the day we embraced for the first time where I would play the smooth one and she played the clueless one.  I knew exactly where it was going and showed it.  She knew also but acted surprised.  After our first kiss we exploded with feelings that we kept within for far too long and passion that should not be kept afar from the heart.

Within the going out stages, the second time I saw her was the hardest because I didn’t know how she felt.  When we saw each other again, would it be the same feeling as before or did I do it just for the idea of doing it.  Luckily enough, we were just as happy the next night and more after that.

Phases With Lyssa One Week Into Relationship

After a week, we got used to each other and went through some phases.

The Insecurity Phase

The very first phase was insecurity, not knowing whether the friends liked you and if they knew, how they felt and how you would react in front of them.  That wasn’t a problem for me but she had little troubles.

Group Socials Phase

Bringing friends over and having friends present all the time was over after a week.  Even though we haven’t had a day alone for a while, that’s due to my friends needing me and constantly coming over which I don’t mind at all.

The Kissing Phase

Kissing was major in the first few steps, as holding hands was the major part of the beginning.

Being alone together was a commodity we just didn’t want to test as yet, so insecurity was always present.

The more we probed the more at ease we were with each other, and the less we held hands and kissed.

The Hickey Phase

The next step in the relationship was the “hickey” phase, where all I wanted to do was give or receive hickeys with Lyssa.  After we adjusted to each other we were over that hickey phase.  But that doesn’t mean I don’t want to give them to her.

Emotional Sharing Phase

What we once took for granted now doesn’t come as much.  Kissing and holding hands is replaced by holding each other and sharing feelings and emotions with one another and basically being there for one another without a need for anything else to feel secure.

The Next Relationship Phase

Now the next step has come.  It has been a month and without even knowing it, I’ve done something that has come full circle, things I used to do for Jewell the special one in my life but now do for someone else.

Writing A Poem For Lyssa

At work today I got the photos developed and found a picture of Lyssa that was very, very bad.  It made her look like Elvis Presley chewing on gum with a Clueless face on her and hair in her mouth with the gum.

As soon as I saw the photo I laughed my guts out.

My plan began to unfold when I found out that I can get an enlargement of any photo for free.  Deciding to get an enlargement of that photo, I decided to write a poem with that and got to work in the office.

Taking me half an hour to write the poem, I printed it out.

Finishing work, I took the poem to get photocopied onto some very nice paper.  Getting it cut the same size as the Photo (6”x 8”), I walked to the photo shop, got the photo laminated and bought an envelope to fit them both.  All that idea was done within 20 minutes of me catching my train.  Funnily enough, all that was accomplished in that time.

Poem To Lyssa June 1997

Before I forget, I’m going to recite the poem that I wrote to Lyssa on our one-month thing, this was addressed with the picture of her…

I’ve written many poems in many different ways,

But none have been more complementing to whom until today,

You know I have a sarcasm that no one can deny,

So once you tear the picture up revenge I know you’ll try,

I tried to capture all your beauty through the eyes of Tony,

But after all your friends have seen, there’s no doubt you’ll disown me,

So take a glance at what you were before you turn eighteen,

A face that only mum can love, and in time maybe me.

Lyssa Pranks Phoenix

Catching the train home I walked to Pizza Hut and rang Lyssa to see me there.  Seeing Ali before her, I showed him the picture and poem, which was a good poem.  He laughed hard and drove me and Lyssa to my house.

At my house I couldn’t stop but laugh at her and the thought of her facial expression when she opens the letter.

While Lyssa was over my house we called Phoenix because she wanted to.  We harassed her and had a talk to her.  She knew Lyssa was with me while I harassed her, calling her a hooker.

Friends Tease Lyssa At My House

Shawn and Ralf came over, then Imad, Velda and Ali.

While they were here I secretly showed Imad the picture.  He came out of the bathroom where he viewed it.  Without me knowing it, they made fun of Lyssa.  Making facial expressions at her as if they were chewing gum they cracked up.

When they were all leaving I had Lyssa in a fit trying to guess what I had for her.  She worked out after all my clues that the photo I took of her was what she had to view.  She had no idea how I was to give it to her.

Lyssa Reacts To The Letter

Giving the envelope to Ali, he drove Lyssa home.  I found out that when she got out of the car he called her back and gave her the envelope.

As soon as she got inside, she opened the letter, saw the picture, dropped it, and rang me up.

I knew who it was and answered straight away with, “Hi Lyssa,” and started laughing.

She told me she was going to get sweet revenge.  She didn’t see the poem and read it out while on the phone.  She told me I write nice poetry.

Luckily, she has a good sense of humor.  I can’t wait for her to try and get me back.  She is keeping the photo and everything that came with it.

Lyssa and I have been going out for one month now.  It’s good that I gave her this gift today without even knowing it.  I just hope she likes what I get for her birthday, because I’m going to spend a fair bit of money and I don’t even know what I’m getting.

Planning The Weekend

This weekend has been planned with the boys and the camera, as I have a sudden urge to do very bad mischief.

It’s time to sleep for a better day, and time to dream of a better way.
