Assembling The Backyard Roof – Mad Chaos: June 18, 2004

Whenever there are entries outstanding, the writer becomes insular and his stock suffers as a consequence.  I have noticed he dwells in other distractions when a backlog accrues, which is why the writer tries to avoid those situations, or their over-analysis.

I am fortunate that today was a relaxed period of hours fit for a dilettante.

I went to sleep at 1am and had another remarkable early rise to see my eyelids open at 10:30am.

An Intense Exercise Session

I was determined to fit in as much disciplines as possible today.  So, I had a smoke in the backyard.

Then I rode on the trainer for half an hour before I walked upstairs famished for a portion of fish and cooked rice that mum had made for breakfast.  I was a pool of sweat but I measured the same 83.9 kilos after the ride as when I woke up.

Charge The Power Drill

I was upstairs around 11:30am to help dad prepare the variable speed, two-gear cordless drill driver with hammer action.  He had no idea how to install it.

I unpacked the suitcase that the drill set came in.  I charged one battery.  I also tested the drill with the secondary battery, which had some power.  I reveled in the power drill because it was a cool new device.  It surprised me with how many options it had.

Centrelink Rent Assistance Form

When I came back downstairs into my bedroom, I noticed a letter for me on the cabinet in the entrance room.  When I opened the letter up, there inside was a rent assistance review letter from Centrelink.  The letter ordered me to supply verifiable details in regards to how I claim I live in a rental house, which of course is untrue.

So, the fraudulent era is over in a week.  I have to inform Centrelink now on an inconspicuous date that I have moved back into the family house.  I hope no suspicions arise, but it dampens my mood how I am forced to be honest now.

Just when I was able to cheat the system, the system throws a spanner in the works.

My resolutions may take a few more weeks to be realized.  I did enjoy it while it lasted nonetheless.

I also found out from mum today (while dad prepared outside for another day on the extension) that I would receive free car registration on a pension if I decide to purchase a car.  I was surprised to hear of the benefits of being on the pension.  It gives me incentive now to aim for a provisional license, which perhaps could be another resolution on the side.

I found my learner’s license expires in two days, so I will have to acquire a new learner license, for a pet resolution of mine to perhaps be fulfilled by the end of the year.

Help Dad Build Backyard Roof

There was a full day’s work in the backyard with dad today.  I had to help him load eleven corrugated zinc roof portions over the pinewood frame.  I remember we started at 1pm.

Dad had to climb up onto the framework roof, as mum and I handed him all his tools, two drills and a section of corrugated zinc roof one at a time.  Dad meanwhile drilled holes into the corrugated zinc roof through to the pinewood frames to secure the roof with screws.

I found I smoke more when I am idle or when I am on the move, as in walks into town or around the city.  I smoked around a dozen smokes or around one per section of corrugated zinc roof that we slid into place on the carport roof.

I meanwhile had a blast of music from my bedroom speakers and had smokes.

The Loyalty Of Friends

I also messaged Mumbles, Jasper and Almond to see if any of them wanted to join Nestles and I for the Eels versus Broncos rugby league match tomorrow.

I was disappointed that only Almond replied immediately to say that he was busy tomorrow, but he will accompany me next weekend to watch the Bulldogs versus Broncos match.

Why do people not answer their mobile phone messages?  I knew Almond would answer because he remains a loyal friend, but the others have problems with the maintenance of friendships.  I was livid, especially after I blamed Nestles for arrogance, and here is Mumbles and Jasper doing the same.

Backyard Roof Assembled

The eleven sections of corrugated zinc roof were in place and drilled in by 4pm.  We did one every twenty or so minutes.  There were minor hiccups, like when the wind picked up one portion of the roof and blew it over, but we managed to recover.

Dad also failed to take into consideration a pipeline that comes from the bathrooms, which was in the way, so he had to use wire cutters to snip a section.  Apart from this, I helped mum and dad for three hours.

I always wanted to hurry up and come back into my bedroom to finish an incomplete entry, and I had the chance after my involvement outside was unnecessary.

Studying Beta Blockers & Alprazolam

I have had a calm day since then.  I had five fish fingers for lunch and some medication.

I have studied the effects of Alprazolam for months now.  I realize that the beta-blocker works for a period of six hours, until abrasion starts to kick in.  Because I have woken up earlier than usual in the past week, it has made me more vulnerable in the afternoons.  I may have to take an Alprazolam pill earlier.  Maybe I will even have to take three Alprazolam pills a day.

Kangaroo Meat For Dinner

I nonetheless worked on an unfinished entry afterwards before I had a break at 6pm to cook and dine on kangaroo steak, pasta twists in cheesy Alfredo sauce and stir-fry vegetables.  I never thawed the kangaroo meat properly so its innards were raw, but I still ate it.  That could explain the lack of enthusiasm the writer has now.

I then had a break and cycled on the trainer for forty-five minutes from 8:30pm with impressive results.

Play Championship Manager 4

Ever since then I have managed two matches in “Championship Manager 4”.

I was on the brink of another loss once the opposition scored, but a few managerial decisions helped me score two goals in the second half to save me from the relegation red zone in the middle of the season.

Championship Manager 4 Cover

I lost in a cup round for my second match, which should have been easy, but I experimented with reserve players instead, which backfired on me.

I plan to sleep now and wake up early for tomorrow.

I still have a small contribution to make to an incomplete entry but when I wake up tomorrow, it should be finished before another social excursion piles up the pressure on the writer once more.
