Write ‘Rush The Whole Night’ Lyrics – Mad Chaos: May 26, 1998

It’s only been a day since I’ve received my money and already it has disappeared from my hands and into the mainstream.  Most of the money I have placed in my Credit Card for safe keeping until I have to use a guitarist.  Some money went onto shoes I bought today, some at the studio, and then some on the movie last night, not to mention travel and food expenses.  All this in two full days has all my money gone and Lyssa is suspecting where my money has gone, seeming I was being closed on my money.

Finding Brand New Sports Shoes

Today was a good day.  I started out at 9am in the morning.  Once again the alarm was useless.  I might as well not even put it on.  Still slightly drowsy I had a shower.  I was pretty cold as I jumped in.  Putting some tunes on I done my hair and then packed the necessities for the day before leaving for Campbelltown on foot.

Reaching Campbelltown I quickly walked to ‘In Sport’ and tried on some shoes that I had liked.  Then after a quick think, I bought them.  They were the shoes I liked yesterday and I thought I should buy them.  The only thing is that Lyssa thinks they are too white and new on me and look like girl’s shoes.  Lyssa also told me I look short in the shoes, but once I get some dirt on them and grow them out they will look just like my other shoes.

Heading To Nu Town Studios

Withdrawing money from my Credit Card I jumped onto the train.  I did so not knowing whether or not I could use the studios at Nu Town today because yesterday I didn’t show up or even ring.  Catching the train to the City I didn’t have much to do on the way except for sit and wait patiently.  Jumping off at Central I hurried down the steps and onto my platform where I caught the next train to Newtown.

Jumping off the train I walked up the stairs, to my left and onto the main street where I walked to a nearby payphone.  Trouble was, there was a tall, staggered man using the phone.  Sitting down on a cement block on-looking a café, it didn’t take long until the man disappeared.  Jumping onto the phone I called ‘Nu Town Studios’ which was just up the street.  Apologizing to Jessie I then booked the studio in half an hour and hung up the phone.

Recording Studio Session Time

Having half an hour to kill I walked around Newtown looking at CD shops and other assortments until my time was up.  Walking into the studio I bumped into a girl with an acoustical guitar.  The guitar sounded good when played.

Today at the studio I was complemented for my scoring of music by the female guitarist there.  They soon left the room after an introduction.  Right now I am not getting any bad reviews, only promising help to start me off.

As Jessie and I were acquainted once again we started work on fixing up the problems in my song. There we sat for over at least three hours fixing up problems, sorting out sound technicalities and then working on the intro to the song, which was the wind.  All in all we had a great time working on my music.  I think to myself now that ‘Nu Town Studios’ aren’t that bad at all.  They do help me when I need it, do it good, but they still have the problem of money and trying to drain me of it.

Because I didn’t show up yesterday, Jessie told me she would have to charge me $25 because it took her over an hour to set up, which is probably bullshit.  Nearing 4:30pm I worked out a good deal for the three hours I was there.  Then recording my newly mixed instrumental onto tape I headed for the station.

Teachers, Students, Schools, Language Partners, all in the one community. Jiaoyu Community.

Rushing To Sydney To Meet Lyssa

Before leaving Newtown I called Lyssa on the phone after this Indian man jumped off the phone.  As Lyssa answered the phone I apologized about having to be late, told her where I was and that I would see her soon.  The train took its time arriving.  As my luck had it, the train stopped for a couple of minutes mid-travel.

Reaching Town Hall I quickly ran out and then headed for Lyssa’s work.  Arriving at Lyssa’s front doors, I found her waiting with her arms crossed and a stern look on her face, as if to be angry.  Giving her a kiss, I apologized once more.  Soon enough her anger was over.

Dropping off the mail and DX we then headed for the station in a hurry to catch the express train to Campbelltown.

The train was crowded when we jumped on, so much that Lyssa and I had to sit behind one another in efforts to rest our legs.  Passing Lyssa my ‘World D’ Magazine that I had taken with my ‘Drum Media’ we both started to read.  Lyssa would tap me on the shoulder now and then on our journey home for conversation.  Seats didn’t become available until people started to jump off at Leumeah Station.  Lyssa and I then sat next to each other for a short while before having to jump up.

Lyssa Suspicious Where My Money Goes

Lyssa decided to come to Campbelltown so we could have Sydney Fried Chicken hot chips with the money I thought I had.  It turns out, when I walked there I found that I only had a couple of coins to my name, hardly enough to buy something.  Dumbfounded, I turned around checking my pockets before heading into the shop.  Astounded to find nothing, Lyssa and I headed for the station empty handed.

I was angry that I couldn’t spend any of this money to treat Lyssa out.  I’m kicking myself.  No matter, next pay, Lyssa will be receiving almost all the money for when we travel to the Novotel in Wollongong.

Speaking of the Novotel in Wollongong, Lyssa wants me to change the date because it interferes with her work.  In that case, I am calling up the hotel tomorrow morning and finding something the week before.  It’s not as special but it will have to be arranged.

As Lyssa and I sat down to wait for her train she asked me where all my money went.  Blurting out that I had spent more money to pay off my Credit Card, I couldn’t just say I spent $75 at the studio and $60 on a pornographic movie.  Lyssa tried to understand my story where my money had gone, but I’m sure she had doubts.  I think lately that Lyssa is suspecting something from me.

Recording A Beat With My Voice

Lyssa caught her bus.  Giving her a couple of kisses and cuddles before she had left I waved her goodbye and then headed for Queen Street.  Buying myself a potato to eat (something inexpensive and hunger feeding), I then called my dad with the remaining money and waited in Campbelltown for him.

Just before my dad arrived I had a bass line tune in my head that kept repeating itself.  Knowing I didn’t want to lose it I kept singing the rhythm in my head in hopes I would remember when I reached my house.  While in the car I kept singing the loop so I wouldn’t forget.

Write New Song Lyrics

Once at home, I emptied out my pockets, turned the computer on and recorded the bass line with only my voice.  Knowing I now had a hard copy, I tidied up my room and then called Lyssa.

With my food downstairs Lyssa and I talked for a couple of minutes.  Then we both had to eat, so she told me she would call me back.  After eating I started work on my new song, also listening to my instrumental.  Using Midi I worked out some basic loops for my song and a couple of lyrics.  So far I only have what is a shabby Chorus or part of it but the song’s name right now is “We don’t have to Rush the Whole night”.  I’ll keep you posted.

An Appreciation Of Musicians

Reading through both the magazines that I attained today, I felt more of a closeness with music.  In my head right now I know I want to produce music, and that dream might come true.  What I also know is that I want to increase my knowledge of music.  I think my key to success is knowing the piano and how instrumentation works in unity.  Knowing how to use studio equipment is also essential to me learning about the music industry.

I see musicians and artists in a different way now.  I have been for a couple of months now.  New bands like “Garbage” and old one’s like “Savage Garden” are intriguing me because of their devotion and talent in the music industry.  I might not entirely like their music but I now understand the mental feats a group of musicians and the like have to go through to produce a work of art, to produce a CD recording or song.

I’m now going through the process of being creative, not only with myself but also with other people.  One day I will be composing lyrics and scores with big names in the R&B Industry.  I can only imagine that day in my head, a moment of great relief, for then I will know that I have accomplished what I’ve always wanted out of life, to be recognized not only for my mind but also for the talents that represent me.

As for working in the Industry, I wouldn’t mind working as a columnist in a music newspaper, or the latest craze for me is being a DJ.  Working in graphic design I always have wanted to do.  Gone are the days where I sit behind a desk and be bored.

I want to use my mind, and by god I will use it.

There is so much imagination within me.  The world shouldn’t go without it.  My problems, I’m too shy and timid when it comes to conversing with large crowds.

A Busy, Eclectic Day

Lyssa called me back after half an hour.  We talked for a couple more minutes before she headed off to watch ‘Beverly Hills 90210’.  In that hour I worked some more on my song.  Then just before Lyssa called me back I switched off.

Lyssa is giving me a call tomorrow from work.  Tonight we said goodnight to each other and she is now asleep in bed.  Now after Lyssa and I have been talking for half an hour and I have been on the computer typing this.  It is time to cool down for the day.

Tomorrow I have plenty to do like call all the voices in my list and lots more good little endeavors.

As I listen to my CDs, it’s time for me to sign off for another day.  There are only a couple of them left. Once again my momentum will swing me forward to the next month with great endeavors and opportunities.
