Retail Shopping For Lyssa – Mad Chaos: May 28, 1998

Henceforth, I have walked a mile, talked a while and delved in a meal almighty.  Today has been a good day, almost capping off the end of this month.  I have to say, this month has taken a fair bit of time to come full circle.

Worried About Thinning Hair

Waking up this morning at 11am I was slow on the uptake, as I was still drowsy.  Slowly creeping out of my warm waterbed I headed for the bathroom where I commenced my shower.  Cleaning my hair, I toweled myself down and stepped back into my room to warm up.

With the blow dryer on my hair I started to notice that the hair at the back of my head was starting to become fine.  Grabbing a CD in my hand, I held it strategically to the mirror so I could see the back of my head in the reflection.  My thoughts of my hair thinning were potent.  I was somewhat worried that one day I would have to shave my head because it would look ridiculous.

Embarrassed By Bright White Shoes

Blow-drying my hair I then started chucking some clothes on and was embarrassed to think that I would have to wear my new shoes in public.  With the criticism I faced from Lyssa last night, I was beginning to wonder if I made the right choice about my shoes.

Placing my hair in a ponytail and putting on my black Adidas pants, I found to my horror that the whites in the shoes stood out tremendously with this outfit.  I couldn’t wear it.  Chucking on my white pants, I put my white shirt on and then a black button up shirt on top, it looked decent.  The boyish thing about my shoes was that half of it was bright white, even the shoe laces.  But now with some ingenious thinking and remembering I had some black shoe laces stashed away, I changed that.

With my clothes ready and geared up I headed for Campbelltown on foot.  My shoes were once again bothering me because with every step I took they sounded like a small heel (small horses).  This was due to the fact that my soles weren’t worn in properly.  The shoes were hard plastic, so I kept kicking my feet around on the ground to wear away the bottom.

Centrelink Job Search

Frustrated on the way to Campbelltown I kept thinking I should avoid populated areas in Campbelltown so I wouldn’t be seen.

The first place I ventured to was Centrelink.  While there I looked for a job and found three positions that I thought I would be good for.  All of the jobs needing typing skills and office related work.  Taking them with me, I then headed for the train station, where I caught the train to Macarthur Square.

Visit Ice Clothing Store For Lyssa

Walking to the entrance over the bridge walkway I headed for ‘ICE’ straight away to buy Lyssa’s top.  Having a quick breeze of the merchandise I found what Lyssa had wanted.  Lyssa wanted me to buy her a top on my credit card and she would pay me back today (if I didn’t mention it last night).

Picking out the sweater I handed it to the lady behind the counter who was fairly new to the job, but I could tell why she got the position.  The other lady was helping her with the computer as I handed over my credit card.  With her blonde hair, evolved figure and with a pair of breasts not well hidden by her lack of buttoning up her shirt and wearing low cut singlets, I was distracted to say the least.

Preoccupied with the fact I was the only male shopper in the girl’s store I kept my cool and hard image and walked out of the store calmly.

Purchase New CDs

With a couple of hours to spare before I had to meet with Lyssa at Leumeah train station I decided to travel to a couple of music stores and listen to some CDs.  Today was a turn around to my listening capabilities.  I picked out two CDs that I will be purchasing.  Both of them had songs that I need for my own CD.  The CDs are called “Soul For Real” which I read a little article in the ‘Drum Media’ about.  I also purchased “Johnny Gill” his latest album with a song for the third date.

Soul For Real Album Cover

The first CD I mentioned had a song for when Jewell told me she was thinking we should break up.  Then I took the liberty of saying, “Well then might as well end it and never talk to each other again.”  The song captures the moment of conversation on the phone, the day as it happened and the feelings of the day, not the feelings I feel thinking of the day.  If these two songs are right for the CD then I am only searching for one song.

The last song I am on the prowl for is a song of yearning, after the original dates.  It comes without a significant date but the feel of the song represents from the time we broke up to the build up of my feelings towards missing out on something and how I miss her.

While in Macarthur Square I met up with Penelope who was shopping with her cousin.  We exchanged a couple of words.  Then we were both on our way.

Inspired By Roger Troutman’s Music

Walking to the station there was no train in sight for half an hour.  Finally I headed for Campbelltown.  While there I visited Sanity to listen to some more CDs.  I’m starting to get very interested in this “Roger Troutman” fellow.

Roger has appeared in CDs by ‘Keith Sweat’ ‘Johnny Gill’ and other artists.  The great thing about Roger is that I’ve captured his essence by his ability to belt out great riffs on the organ/electric piano type instrument.  More importantly, he is renowned to me as using his voice through a Vocoder.

All the songs that Roger Troutman is featured in represent him belting out lyrics through a Vocoder makes him sound great.  I love the sound he dishes out.  Now that I’m really interested in his work I want to find out what else he has appeared on and what label he is working with.

Waiting An Eternity For Lyssa

Off that subject, with some more time to spare I headed for Ingleburn to see if there were any CD shops there.  Looking, I found nothing but a small shop that sold old CDs.  I was not impressed.

As that was almost a complete waste of time I headed back to Leumeah to wait for Lyssa and meet her on the platform.

There I waited half an hour early as the trains kept coming.  I thought she would be on the next one, or she would be on the next one…  As trains kept stopping and hordes of workers poured out from the doors, I didn’t see Lyssa anywhere.  There I waited from 5:30pm just waiting and starting to get impatient as the time ticked around 6pm.

Lyssa should have been there by now.  I thought I should wait for two more trains to turn up before we headed off.  As the trains showed up I was disappointed to find Lyssa was on neither of the trains.  At 6:30pm I headed back to Campbelltown.

Finally Seeing Lyssa

Jumping off the train I hoped that Lyssa was waiting for me on the seats there.  Thoughts in my head were that Lyssa had been late-night shopping and forgot about me.  Turning the corner, I found Lyssa sitting down with Kiley having a little chat.  As they spotted me, Lyssa smiled and let out a sigh of relief.

Some bickering started about where we were supposed to meet.

We laughed about the whole thing.

Lyssa was in a big hurry when I called her on the phone at work, so I had stated that I would meet her in Campbelltown.  Lyssa was taken back by what I said.  So I then suggested Leumeah.  Thinking that Lyssa had agreed on Leumeah (which is what I thought she had done), she actually agreed on Campbelltown.  So, a big mistake.

Nevertheless, Lyssa and I walked Kiley to her car.  Saying goodbye to her, we kept walking to Lonestar.  Giving Lyssa her jumper as I escorted her into Lonestar, she thanked me.

Lonestar Dinner With Lyssa

Seated at a booth we made our orders and I went to the toilet.  On the way back, grabbing a handful of peanuts (after washing my hands), I headed back for our table.  Lyssa and I started delving into the obvious hunger-diminishing nuts.  Soon after, our meal was given to us.  From what Lyssa and I remember, the fries used to come more packed on than what we received.

As Lyssa and I ate we talked about our one-year anniversary coming up and details of the room.  As we enjoyed our food, Lyssa told me instead of saving the money, the very last week she was going to spend all of her pay on that day.

When we were finished eating, Lyssa paid the bill with a fifty-dollar note.  When the girl came back with our change we found we were thirty dollars short.  Waiting for the manager on the night, the girl actually made a mistake.  She then corrected it by giving us our correct money.

Burping To Attract Girls

Stepping outside, Lyssa felt like calling her mum for a lift.  So we headed for Hungry Jacks down the road for a public payphone.  On the way there I was being loud and stupid.

While Lyssa was waiting for the phone we were reading magazines.  Down the steps to Hungry Jacks I noticed a couple of girls looking in my direction.  At that precise moment I let out a small burp.

At the time they were looking at me, my burp would have looked like a smile to them.

Because of this paranormal occurrence, they thought I liked them and kept looking up.

I kept poking Lyssa saying to her that the girls down there think I like them because I burped and they mistook it.  Meanwhile I figured out the guy on the phone was going out with one of them.  When the girls would look up I would get Lyssa to look at them, funny.

The guy on the phone was looking at me weird.  Once he was on the phone Lyssa called her mum.  The guy took the girls to the car.  I can’t imagine what they were talking about in there as they left.

Lyssa stood arguing with her mum on the phone.  A couple of minutes later we were to be picked up.

Lyssa’s Mom Picks Us Up

Stepping outside we sat down near the curb.  Lyssa and I started cuddling and acting (as Lyssa usually does).  After our little episode with happiness, we walked to the other side of the street.  The night was cold and I placed my hands over my chest to keep warm.  Lyssa’s mum took her time arriving.

When Lyssa’s mom arrived, I didn’t talk much in the car.  There was no call for my conversation.  Lyssa and I kissed before her mum showed up because Lyssa hasn’t enough guts to kiss me while her mum is watching.

Dropped off at my house I walked inside.
