Get Floor Is Lava on Google Play
Premium skins
Morning session added premium groundwork: 20 different purchasable outfits for the player character, plus a broader set of premium ideas; gating and coin bonuses among them.
The 24-step path to Google Play
Had Claude write out a full Floor Is Lava publishing guide; PWA to Play Store, covering Google Play Console setup, AdMob, and in-app billing, and replacing every debug-mode stub in version 169 with real revenue integrations. It’s a 24-step process; by 5:00 p.m. I’d created the app entry in Play Console (step two); a configuration milestone rather than a coding one, but a real step toward launch.
Also logged: a new parachute-down idea, filed as “not integral to the game, but a new, fun angle” for later.
Lance vetoes the shop
The most important design decision of the day came from Lance, after I showed him the growing list of purchasable items:
Lance: “I don’t want all that. I just want you to be able to buy the game and no ads. Not all the other stuff.”
Me: “All right.”
I took that seriously: this is a kids’ game first. Adults might go for a bigger shop, but I scaled the purchase options back to match how Lance actually envisions the game working.
🎮 Game Rules Log: May 27, 2026
- Purchase options simplified at Lance’s request: buy the game / remove ads, not a large shop of extras
- 20 premium character outfits added as a foundation for a future cosmetic shop
